Whenever the yanks and redsox play the jays, the sky dome is always a sell out. Brings me back to the glory years of the jays setting attendance records back in the day, it's gonna take a playoff run for the dome to sell out on a consistent basis. But baseball is really starting to become popular in Toronto again. Probably hast something to do with the leafs and raptors being so shit lol

I hate Red Sox fan. I remember around 2000-2001 i knew ZERO Red Sox fans. I saw ZERO sox fans. Always felt like loner wearing my Sox hat and jerseys. 2004 comes. They win the World Series. Next thing i know a infestation of Boston fans. Plates on cars, flags hanging from houses everything you could think of. I would get in conversations with multiple people about the team and they would have no clue. My favorite conversation of all time.
Guy pulls his car into work. He was a customer. Got out of his truck with his Sox mud flaps and decals on the windows and bumpers. I start the talk with a hey how bout those Sox. IT was right after the big signings of Crawford and Gonzo. I say to him big signings in the off season and he says ya that Adriana guy is going to be pretty good. NO JOKE. He called Adrian Adriana. They i blow it off and talk about how the pen could be shakey with Papelbon. Guy had no idea who he was. Conversation ended and left him standing alone.

its not just the Sox you can say that about any team. I have 5 friends who are sox fans. only 1 of them is a true fan and actually knows what the hell is talking about... one had 0 idea who TED WILLIAMS OR CARL YASTRZEMSKI were!
I gave him a layup, saying who waved a home run fair vs the reds in game 6 of the world series... you could've heard crickets..
This Sox team is in hugeeee trouble. No pitching at all. Pedey, Ells, Papi, A-Gon are the only four hitters that are worth anything.
Youk is always hurt. Plus he has been in the biggest funk since end of last season.
Aviles, Sweeney, Ross journey men enough said.
McDonald should never be on an MLB roster.

Beckett is always hurt, but when he is healthy he is a horse. Same thing with Clay. I give Beckett a Pass only bc he was key in 07.
I'm glad Papelbum left, he's been mediocre since the Angels smacked him around in 09 ALDS. Really hated what they did with the bullpen this year. Aceves closing? Why? I still don't know why Jose Inglesis isn't starting at SS. HE cant hit for shit he'll bat around the mendoza line, but kid can field. Also why the hell do you trade Lowrie and Scutaro and not have an SS ready?
I still think the Sox win between 85-90 games though, as long as the key players can stay healthy

Wondering why OBP hasn't taken over as the main stat when it comes to showing a players effincey to get on base, why does BA still reign supreme? Also Manram, would you ever consider changing BA to OBP in our fantasy league? What are some opinions on this. I'm not saying we should do it (love the way our baseball league is already) just curious to see if people think the same way I do about OBP

am I crazy to believe the Senators beat my Rangers in round 1. Everyone is saying im not a true fan for saying that. I just don't see Ottawa losing, it was the worst possible matchup for my Rangers. This coming from a kid who has seen at the worst 75/82 games this season. Hell I get text updates on the Rangers for periods/goals in each game this way even when I cant watch I know whats going on.

I really don't see the sens beating the rangers over a 7 game series. Lund and the rangers look really good this year. Ottawa has a history of playoff letdowns, and when in doubt about who will take a series always side with the team that has a elite goalie. I say rangers in 5 or 6
