Earlier in the season this guy wanted Manny Ramirez from me. So I said A-Rod for Manny. So he offered me a Dye and Chipper for Manny. I said no. The next day Manny gets suspended for 50 games, and SHOCKER, the trade is off the table. The first day back...he adds Zobrist with Dye and Chipper and wants Manny and Sandoval. Nobody wanted Sandoval when I put him on the trading block. He gets hot...everyone wants him from me.
I offer a Weiters/Hamilton for Ellsbury/Scherzer. It gets denyed and this SOB wants Sandoval and Jurrjens. Seriously?
Another guy tries to convince me that an Aaron Hill for Manny trade straight up is the best trade. He says he's helping me. He says he doesn't need Hill because his team is so good and he'll take Manny off my hands and give me a change of scenery so maybe I can get to the playoffs. Yea...I'm not buying it.
They really think I have no idea what I'm doing. I've been in last place and I'm only a few games out of 6th(playoff spot) now facing the guy whose in front of me. I would LOVE to beat these fuckers and take their money. I need to upgrade my team in the speed catagory but since everyone is treating me like the Yankees and wanted top players for everyone I ask for, I have to do it with what I have. I finally dropped Weiters. I couldn't take it anymore. I had to get somebody who could help me NOW.

The problem with this was it was my first league other than mlb.com. I was used to working with entire pitching staffs...not just individual pitchers. So when they said relief pitchers, I drafted Grant Balfour looking for strikeouts. I wasn't thinking straight. He's loaded on pitchers so I dropped Melky and Hochevar and picked up David Hernandez and Nick Blackburn. Hopefully I can get a win here but it won't be promising. Me and the guy in front of me have to face 2 of the top 3 guys to finish this out so I have a lot of work to do. Wish Me Luck.
