I would probably have to lean towards Gates as well.
Fred Jackson in the 6th isn't bad either though. He's a little underrated in my book. Where did you see he would lose GL carries? And to who? Spiller? If that's true then the Bills are even dumber than I thought.
Oh, and don't ever listen to Matthew Berry. The guys a moron. If ESPN had any clue then none of their fantasy guys would have a job. Save maybe Christopher Harris who writes a decent fantasy article once in a while.

The Bills are expected to open the 2011 season with Fred Jackson as the starter at running back. He will likely share carries with C.J. Spiller, but Jackson proved in 2010 he can get the job done as the every-down running back. After getting off to slow start following a broken hand in training camp, Jackson finished the year with 222 carries for 927 yards and five touchdowns, 31 catches for 215 yards and two touchdowns and two fumbles. He had four games with double digits in Fantasy points and 10 with at least seven points. He now has back-to-back seasons of 1,100 total yards, and even though he's 29 he remains a quality Fantasy option in the majority of leagues as a No. 3 running back. Spiller will get more work in his second year in the NFL, but Jackson should still be the starter and work at the goal line. He's worth drafting around Round 6 in most formats. (Updated 5/2/11)

I only recommend reading that Draft Manifesto if you want to waste a lot of time and get a headache.
10,000 words on why Vick will have a better season than Brady's magical 2007 (absurd), and that you should draft lots of RBs and WRs.
I could write 10,000 words of babble about why you SHOULDN'T take Vick #1 but everyone has their own opinion.

If he can put up over 1100 yards with 7 TDs and 30+ receptions again, then he can be a middle of the road to low end #2 RB in the weak crop of RBs we have this year.
He's my 24th ranked RB so low end #2/high end #3 for sure.
All that being said, I still lean to Gates.

Are you saying 24th overall player or 24 overall RB? Cause there is a huge difference in which round he would go. I'm just trying to clarify.

So if you keep Gates he becomes your 1st round pick? That is unfortunate and I wouldn't recommend it. Can you trade draft picks in this league? If not Jackson in the 7th may be the best choice. I'm not a big fan of MJD. He is probably a 2nd round choice this year. I wish we knew your draft position but without knowing it I would want to keep my first draft choice free rather than taking MJD.

Give me some reasons. I actually agree with Berry on his Vick and Gates assessments and gives really good statistical evidence for his opinion.
Vick's passing numbers were comparable to Mannings without accounting for Vick's running stats. In fact, if you want a comparison for a guy in this thread. Vick's running numbers were only about 6 points behind Fred Jackson's.
