We keep 3 players year to year in a 1pt ppr. I have Jamaal as a 3rd rounder. I have him wasting away on my bench and I am considering trade options. Im going to wait until the weaker teams are "out" of the playoffs and who will be preparing for next season. I like Jamaal a lot especially as a 3rd rounder. Should I trade him at some point to make a championship run this year, or stick with my very solid team and keep Jamaal for next year? If trade, who to keep next year? Thoughts?
remember ppr:
1st- Calvin
2nd- Forte
3rd- Jamaal
4th- Santonio
5th- Aaron Rodgers
6th- Fred Jackson
7th- Hakeem Nicks

dont understand the round thing I guess. never played in a league where you carry only a few over to the next season.
This season is the 5th year of the league I'm in. It is a "keeper league", this means from season to season teams can keep a predetermined number of players (in this case 3 players) on the roster for next season. This puts value in drafting rookies or backups, you have to draft not only for the upcoming season, but for the future of your franchise. Lest say in 2008 Aaron Rodgers was still behind Bret Farve, but we knew Farve was at the end of his run and Rodgers was waiting in the wings. I drafted Aaron in the 5th round and at the end of the year I decided to keep Aaron for next season. Well his draft round carrys over to the next season. Now I have a 5th rounder with the value of a third. Next season I keep him again, because he was originally a 5th rounder I keep him at that slot. Now Aaron is a 1st rounder, and I get to keep him as a 5th round pick since he has been with my team for a number of years. Its all about "keping" valuable players in relation to their draft rank. Hopefully that helps explain things?
