The AJax for Granderson deal is evening out a bit more now.
if a manager decides to keep only the 4 original contracts and doesnt do the Franchise Tag or Prospect Contract then he has 4 positions filled outta 25 Total (10 offensive positions + 8 Pitching positions + 7 BN spots)
that means i can only fill 21 outta the total 25 roster spots so after Rd. 21 im done picking and if a manager decides to keep 10 Contracts then wouldnt that mean that after Rd 15 he would outta roster spots therefore done drafting.. ?
if a manager decides to keep 11 contracts then he would lose his 1st Rd draft slot and since he has 11 roster spots filled + 1 draft Rd taken he would be done drafting after Rd 15
i think your overthinking things sparky.. ur complicating more then it has to be pal..

Alright...so they simply STOP picking while everyone else goes along with the draft. I get that now.
But lets say, at season's end, I have 5 players under contract BUT I traded my 23rd draft pick that I DON'T HAVE. How does that work?
You're right...I'm not going to worry about this. It's not worth it. I probably won't be in any of these situations anyway.

URISS and SPARKY: from what i understand after reading all the rules is that we only loose a Draft Pick if you go over 10 Contracts, NOT 4 ! this year we gave out 4 contracts so far ( one 4yr, two 3yr, and one 2yr. ) They were due by Opening Day so they'r in already and we have a choice to Add 2 more contracts if we want at seasons end....
The two contracts we can add are optional:
Prospect Contract: can be used on a player on our roster at seasons end that's eligable for rookie of the year award. (check the rules for ROY eligability, pretty sure they are on our keeperleague.webs.com site manram created..)
Franchise Tag: can be used on a player drafted in the final 9 rounds of the draft (so RD 17 thru 25), or an Un-Drafted Free Agent NOT OFF WAIVERS, or by a TRADE (player must of been eligable on the team u get him from)
SPARKY: your assuming PSM would loose a pick cause he has 5 keepers but i dont think he does, you only loose picks if u go above 10 so its not his fault if he gets other managers to trade him their keepers, it just benefited him cause thats a position he doesnt have to fill come draft time. and we dont gain extra draft picks if we have less keepers then the next guy... IM NOT SURE WHAT DRAFT PICKS WE LOOSE IF WE WERE HAPPEN TO GO OVER THE 10 CONTRACT LIMIT THOUGH
**** im getting this fom reading over the rules multiple times so please correct me MANRAM if im wrong in any way but from what i gathered off the rules everything i posted is right..
hope that helped fella's..

Good question.... here's my solution..
i guess after season is over and before next years draft manram has to look at everything and if you traded your 23rd Rd pick and you kept 7 under contract that would mean your done after Rd.18.... so maybe your Rd 18 goes to the guy cause its considered ur "last pick" and then you take your last player in Rd 19
i dont know buddy.... i doubt people are trading 20th Round draft picks but good question.. maybe manram can get some answers from wherever he got our RULES from...
we'll figure it all out..
MANRAM: did u see my question on our fantasy page about next years dues ?

My team is unappealing...but I like Lincecum, Kershaw, Romero and Chacin.

I hear ya. It also has to be the right offer to deal a rookie seeing that he's a guy I could potentially keep for 4 more years.

I just can't trade Cargo. He does too much. I feel that I can only trade Cargo for another 4 year player.
And that's the problem with my team. Cargo is the only guy that people are willing to trade for. Him, Weaver and now Gordon is getting some looks. But with my team being held together by glue...it's hard to trade the best I got.
