I bet France -230 regulation time... for what seems to be a silly reason at this point.
France had more quality chances, but did not make the best of it. Nigeria seems to play faster, more aggressive. And the refs are falling for every flop the Nigerians seems to display. I don't like my bet at halftime.

You know this is the most heavily wagered event in history of sports wagering? I never thought about it till now but that combination is ripe for corruption. More wagered on these games than the super bowl.

How much do these guys earn to play WC?

stupid way of officiating a game. Let the ref decide how long he wants the game to go, and keep it secret lol
On the subject of this, does anyone know why there is extra time (in a game that is controlled by the clock), as opposed to basketball or football for example, where the clock stops, and then resumes during play? It seems cracked out for a number of reasons that soccer is done this way. Would it not seem relatively logical that when there is a stoppage in play (for whatever reason) that the game clock stops, and then on the referee's command, (blowing the whistle) the game clock then resumes? If someone actually knows the answer, it would be much appreciated, as opposed to "its just done like that bro and has been forever"
