diego costa +2250 (top play) - spain will most likely advance deep so more chances for more games, and spain's system ensures that the striker gets the lion's share of chances and a lot of goals. both villa and torres won golden boots in this role previous years, and an in form costa is imho a more complete striker than both of them. just hope he recovers quickly from his injury
neymar +1000 - unlike messi, plays MUCH better for his country than his club, brazil will advance at least to semis imo so he will get plenty of games in to score. a bit chalky but i always put some on the most likely favorite
gonzalo higuain +2450 - he doesn't play for real anymore so he flies under the radar a bit, but he's always been a great scorer for his country and he'll get a hat trick against iran or something lol. argentina also has a soft bracket so he has a good chance of playing all 7 games
daniel sturridge +6000 - bias as a liverpool fan but he's incredibly prolific and he'll get to play the lone striker role, only thing that worries me is hodgson's potential tactics but at +6000 worth a few bucks lol
passing on:
messi, ronaldo - never great value
suarez - may go small on this one, but just see cavani splitting his chances
lukaku - only 5 goals in 22 appearances for country
van persie - see holland getting knocked out early

Gonzalo Higuain "doesn't play for real anymore"...not sure what you're trying to say here but last time I checked he wasn't playing in the MLS this season.
In case you're not aware, he scored 24 goals and added 11 assists for Napoli this year, a team that will play in the Champions League next year. He also scored 4 goals and added 2 assists in 5 Champions League games this season and he scored 1 goal and got 2 assists in 4 Europa League games. Trust me, anyone who scores 17 goals in only 28 Serie A matches doesn't fly under the radar.

Not sure about Klose. He had a subpar season this year with 7 goals in 24 games and has been injured more often than not. He should start though this weekend for Lazio. A highly respected capper on Covers, KaiserWilhelm, said that Germany might start Gotze or Reus up front.
