What a sub-par performance from the U.S. today in their "send-off" game with Turkey.   If this is the sign of things to come in the WC, U.S. fans gonna be really disappointed.   A porous defense will be severely exploited by the likes of Germany, Portugal, potentially Ghana.   Turkey should scored more... and teams in WC will not miss those opportunities.

Up front, the team seemed to lack flow, particularly when given opportunities to score.  This team will miss Donovan  IMHO. 

What he may have lacked in speed in his later years, is more than replaced with good decision-making and ability.    I think JK will regret the move.

I sure hope team USA plays better in Brazil or we will not go far in the tourney. Of course this was a friendly so I would not put too much into it. I do think we are solid in the net and the back end will perform better. They did look to be quick to the ball in a lot of situations.

Landon Donovan we will miss you.

I think that had something to do with it, too, but to sacrifice this WC for laying the groundwork 4 years from now just doesn't sit right.  Put your best players on the field .  Plain and simple.

Better game by the U.S.  today, wining by the same 2-1 score as earlier in the week.  And again conceding the goal on PK.

Nigeria seems a more undisciplined side compared to the Turks from last week.  Not sure U.S. get the same opportunities against Ghana, but overall, much better game today by U.S.

Altidore gets on the scoreboard for first time since forever, and Bradley is an under the radar solid passer.

Next up is Ghana in the WC...

we get to play one more game hopefully more.
