Listen to Mugg, he's a longterm weightlifter. Taking a week off is key. Hard training is difficult - take it as a challenge/goal month by month.

The eating shopping and cooking is probably the biggest pain in the ass. Pro athletes get all of that spoon fed everyday yet still they are still lazy in the weightroom.

Is it too much to work the same muscles on monday and thursday?

This guy does weights like he makes bets, lots of bad uninformed stuff, try a good diet, diet is the key to weight loss, count your calories, know what your putting in your body, thats the most important key to weight loss.

ps if the weight is to light its a absolute waste, stick to a good diet and walking for now, drop 25 pds than start on your weights, frank t was a former body builder, also inflamation is the key to all sorts of problems, get on a lot of omega 3 aka fish oil.

I don't Train, just cook and eat well. "Emergency C" is a powder I take after every workout. Glorified Gatorade but the stuff replenishes the lost water and poitassuim and b-12. Gets you back on your legs until hydration w/straight water.

Tried Creatine 2 weeks for kicks. Not for me. Too lean. Keeps the brain away from what's going on with the body. That's me though.

Adrenaline wins over these supplements. They try to match it w/energy gulps but no way - imo.

The past 2 years or so, all I do are pull-ups & push-ups & dips.  I don't need or want to be huge, either... and I have absolutely no time @ all to goto the gym.

These keep you toned up, built from the midsection up, and feels like a regular workout, depending on your reps...

I have an "iron gym" workout concoction that I purchased @ Target  -  it's for pulls-ups, and push-ups, and dips.

Search is pretty spot on. It took me over 15 years to realize no matter what routine I did, it was pretty much a waste of time after a month until I taught myself to eat right.

I cut out pretty much all sugar. No bread. I will eat a whole wheat english muffin with peanut butter in the morning. Then fruit and protein the rest of the day.

Doing cardio everyday will just burn you out after awhile and you will eventually quit everything. The splits can be a bit confusing. I have a great personal trainer at work. I'm very lucky to have him and a gym.

He tells me exactly what to do, but he talks too much so most days I just get in and out as fast as I can. I usually do back and shoulders on Monday. Legs and triceps on Tuesday. Biceps on Wednesday and Chest on Thursday.

I know if I don't feel like working out, I will skip biceps because of the pulling exercises involved in doing back. You also hit part of your triceps while doing chest. I have no idea,it works for me. Just listen to search.

But just remember it all starts with your diet and drinking tons of water. And quit doing cardio everyday before you kill yourself. Good luck.

I have no reason to do abs. They're there, sort of. Unless you plan on being in contests, just start with the diet and worry about abs later. I try to do weights in 20 minutes or less. Then I'll run 2-3 miles on the treadmill,or 2-3 miles on the Elyptical machine on 20 incline, which is my favorite cardio routine.

Have you ever considered cross fit workouts? Might be a nice change of pace.

I cross dressed once . Have to say it was kind of liberating to express my inner emotions.
