I'm in Clearwater Beach, and it's really easy after about 6:00 pm to zip into Tampa on hwy 60. Where is it off hand exactly?

I couldn't tell you exactly how to get there anymore. I know its in the Tampa area.

It is very expensive. You will more than likely need reservations (we usually make ours about a month in advance when we go on vacation down there). Make sure you tell the waiter to give you the tour after you eat and dont forget to make reservations at the Desert room. I think they have the biggest private wine collection in America also, on the tour they had a 50,000$ bottle of wine last time and someone had already bought it.
By far the best restaurant/steakhouse I have ever eaten at in my life.

It is a very nice beach and area. I have been to quite a few beaches in Florida and I think the Clearwater/St pete area is by far the best.

Wow! I just read the menu alone. The info that goes along with it was impressive. Still more reading to go. Thanks again
All the salad dressings are home made and the greens inside of it are all home grown (you will see them on the tour inside the kitchen). They have water tanks in the kitchen with the fish in them
Steak is cut to order. The onion soup they have is absolutely amazing and I dont even like onion soup, lol. Make sure you tell the waiter you want the tour, the kitchen is very impressive and they will give you a tour of the wine cellar also.
I think everytime I have been to Bern's I have seen some celebrity eating in there.
Have you eaten at Charleys in Tampa? Never been, but had a couple of people tell me it was good.

Bern's in Tampa is a trip. Was there about 10 years ago. Did take a tour of the kitchen, was a trip watching them grow greens and herbs... were they hydroponic???
Their wine cellar is enormous.
Atmosphere little old school.... red crushed red velvet everywhere but it's kinda neat.

Im not really into wines that much which is 80% of the reason to go to a nice steakhouse. If going to drop 300 on a meal, would rather go to someplace with a more interesting menu than a steak house.

I drool at oysters, tartare, lump crab at steakhouses.... Really no room or even interest in the steaks but feel weird not ordering a steak at a steakhouse when all really want is 2 dozen oysters, a platter of tartare, and lump crab for dessert
