blast75 no cheese on that maybe i dont have recipe right  i noticed it was alot of peoples favorite at a pizza place i used to go too  maybe it was dill sourcream instead of tomato sauce but it was on pizza dough and had capers too one of my favorite is carmilized onion and sometimes a couple slices fresh tomato on on a pie

1. Real New York Style.....First the sauce: homemade (not out of a store-bought sauce), same "gravy" that you would put on your macaronis (pasta)...then the freshly made and grated mozzerella....then the fresh ground oregano....then take the old can off of the shelf and "circle pour" the olive oil around the pie....Then into the oven. The key is the homemade sauce and the olive oil dripping down your wrist when you fold the pie and take your first bite.

2. Real Sicilian.....Large rectangular with crust edges built up.....Fresh Roma tomatoes, squeeze the juice out of the tomatoes onto the dough then throw the pulp onto the dough....as much as you would like...all over the stretched out dough. Then add freshly ground oregano...then that same olive oil drizzled all over....That's it....No cheese....Pizza Rustica!!

Gotta have some homemade wine with this also!!

I make my own from scratch..Sauce from scratch using an Italian recipe, dough from scratch..Cook on a ceramic stone at 500, thin crust..Yummmmmm...
