Jarred "Salad" Olives vs Kalamata olives?

Da problemola with Kalamato olives is can't keep them around for more than a day or two cuz they disappear by the handfulls

Meanwhile, nobody ever fucks with that jar of sliced "salad" olives and that jar of "salad" olives is always there when want to make a salad.

No chance that a pound of Kalamata olives would make it more than a day in the fridge.

They make too good of snacks.

Fried -- Sliced jarred green olives are good but nothing special. I also enjoy a frozen pizza every now and then but you are not going to catch me on here touting the beauty of a frozen pizza.

If we are going to talk about good food - lets talk about good food. Leave the jarred olives and can opener items for the likes of Apache etc...

Is this what happens when I leave the food forum for a few months? Jarred olives???????????

What I'm saying is.......... when you decide at the last minute to make a salad and there are no Kalamata olives....... cuz there never are enough of them. 

Keep a jar of sliced "salad" olives in the fridge.  20 seconds later you got a salad on the table.

I could eat a plate of Kalamata olives for dinner every other day.

It would defy physics for them to even make it into the salad.  And it's also sort of a waste to let a salad even get involved.

If there were Kalamata olives in a salad?  Every bite of the salad without the olive would be a massive disappointment.

Meanwhile..... nobody ever fucks with the green olives and so they are ALWAYS on hand.  Some people have them in their fridge for years.

But when the red wine vinegar hits them, makes them more Kalamataish.

Still defending green olives vs kalamatas? It is alright to admit you are wrong. Really it is.
