Nothing wrong with being straight forward.

bro, about 8 weeks ago decided i was going to try switching to "whole foods", just for a month, and ive never looked back. its the best lifestyle change u can make
first off, watch some of those videos/movies about how they package and prepare meat, esp red meat. after that, you will barely even think about a hamburger or steak. adding on to that, look at the people that make minimum wage and hate their job working at fast food joints. do you think they give a damn about if your burger or fries are dirty or fell on the floor? no. i doubt those fucks even wash their hands, ew. with whole foods, your diet is in YOUR control.
second, fried food is disgusting. the oils are very hard for your intestines to break down and after years it all ends up coagulating and basically becomes waste that just sits in the walls of your intestines... giving things like colon cancer and other virii a place to live/grow in. it just becomes a breeding ground for bad virii.
also, fried food is extremely fatty as we all know, and it has no health benefits except usurping energy. it is not converted to energy like other foods that are easily broken down from. so is one fast food meal worth the long term health issues + loss of energy? i dont think so. many people have forgot why we eat. we dont eat because it satisfies us, we eat to get fuel +energy. fatty oils dont do that
third, you eat more fruits + vegetables, you get antioxidants. which not only prevent cancer and heart problems, but you will also find you will have a lot more energy throughout the day, different antioxidants affect different tissues/organs in the body... so you want to make sure you mix it up, kind of like diversifying your bonds in the market, hehe.
give it a month. make the switch. do some research, get some meal ideas online. a good simple start is to stop eating fast food, stop eating fried food, increase water intake, increase fruit/vegetable intake, and cut out red meat (all of it, if u can, but an occasional steak or burger is OK). just my opinion and whats been working for me... i wish you luck

two other things i just thought of.... make sure you eat 6-8 small meals a day, and not 3 large ones.
i was the same way as you and used to overeat at meals. it not only makes you tired because of insulin spikes, but also, your body can only take in/process a certain amount of nutrients in each meal.. anything after that goes to stored fat. (i believe the number for protein is 50g, anything more then that in a meal is stored fat)
you will find when you start adjusting to this way of eating, your stomach will shrink also. so not only you will look trimmer, you will not be as hungry, as you rbody will not be accustomed to eating ridiculous 1000 calorie meals, and you will be more satisfied after a meal.
