I am with you on this.  I am so suspect of other peoples cooking abilities that I basically prefer to do everything by myself.  I find that many people do not take cooking seriously enough and do not put any pride into their food and it shows when you eat it.

solution to the problem is whenever anyone asks if they can bring something than the answer is -- yes you can.  how bout some beer, potato chips etc...

I have since given the young lady in question, a second chance.    She worked her lil ass off but FAILED again.   She made some kind of baked enchiladas.    She went nuts with sour cream....the FAT FREE kind     And what is it about people who dont know how to season food?     I mean GD, make it to salty rather than bland.
