looking for other flavors and spices

i always use garlic, various types of bbq sauce and steak sauces, hot sauce, sometimes onions and peppers.   what are other good spices, herbs, flavors to add to marinades or just my meats in general ?

ONION in most everything, Salt/Pepper for sure, basil, oregano, lemon juice,lemon pepper, cumin.

I think people should do more cooking with herbs. You can make herb pastes or marinades for various cuts of meats (pork roast......rack of lamb). Herbs of your choice along with garlic and olive oil....salt and pepper.

Also, I make a mushroom frittata that includes thyme...awesome. I also made a butternut squash soup this weekend using a lot of sage.

Chives in your scrambled eggs are great. Rosemary and thyme in beef stew.

You can even make compound butters using herbs. Sky is the limit.
