Balsamic is certainly popular but a tad too sweet for my salads.  Also a little too powerful.  Don't want to pulverize the lettuce with balsamic. 

Red Wine Vinegar is the perfect balance.

For you blue cheese guys. 

Homemade blue cheese is super EZ....... stick blue cheese and milk in a blender and done.  ..... maybe some red pepper flakes and black pepper.

Will beat anything out of a bottle.  And if have any left over in a few days.  Throw the blue cheese in some mashed taters.

No offense Fried but I have no idea how anybody can eat blue cheese dressing without a dry heave.

I make my own italian dressing. Very light an flavorful

marie's ceasar salad dressing.

i use that sh*t mixed with mustard to dip my halibut in as well..
