Since I bet mostly on tennis, I was looking for a book that I could use that offered decent inplay action. I deposited into Betway and immediately won about $600 on a bet I really liked, but then realized they only have a small amount of inplay tennis betting compared to the better sites, so I requested a withdrawal by bank transfer (which I have completed with Bet365, WillHill, BetVictor, etc. many times before).
The first withdrawal request was around March 25. On April 1 I received an email saying there were issues with the banking details (I know them off by heart) and that they could not send me the money, but they "were offering some great specials this week on bets" if I was interested to continue betting.
I declined and sent an email again with all my banking information again, triple checking it to make sure it was all accurate. After I sent an email 10 days later to find out the status, I received another email advising that I could not receive my money through banking.
So, I signed up for an EcoPayz card, which Betway advertised as an immediate way to get my money to an online wallet. After hours of signups and sending docs to get this EcoPayz activated, I withdrew the money. After ANOTHER 2 days, I went on live chat to see the status of my withdrawal, as it was not yet in my EcoPayz account. I was told it had not been sent for processing yet and that I can still access the funds.
Finally, I just said to give me the funds in my account as the amount was not worth the headache. I use that account to hedge some bets from Bet365 anyways, so I eventually lost all the money in there.
Bottom line was, there was about a 0% chance I was ever getting that money back. I have done withdrawals from at least 5 reputable companies and never had an experience like that before. I then questioned them for communications from my bank verifying that there was a returned wire transfer, which they would not provide.
