I used a Visa gift, which i bought at my bank (Royal Bank of Canada)
So, i go to withdrawl, and they say i need to verify my credit card, Its not a fucking credit card its a Gift card. To verify a credit card you must pencil rub the inprint showing the number and your name....gift cards don't have your name on it, fucking losers. I tried explaining to them that the cards are non-reloadable, so what happens if i used 3 or 4 to deposit and then decide to withdrawl....Which card do i verify? all of them? what the fuck....Im calling the bitchs' today let you all know what happens. I think i might withdrawl everything, and fuck Bo-shit. I will also add, they promote gift cards, what the fuck is up with that? Ya lets tell people they can deposit with gift cards, but give them fucking stress when they want to withdrawl....Fuck ya

bodog implements stalling tactics, in an effort for which they've succeeded countless times, in hopes you'll give-up, cancel the payout request, and lose. Rest assurred, if you succumb, you've got no one to blame but yourself. Don't give up, document everything, and get every penny out of there like I and many others who learned the hard way have already done. Close the account, and never look back.
So many other fun places to play. No reason to submit to the dread of bodog.
Use bodog at your own peril.

I will start by saying that the security checks the Bodog licensees put in place are primarily for the players protection. Anyway, I spoke to Bodog.com finance about your issue in particular and they require documentation on Credit Cards in players’ accounts prior to any payouts being issued- this is included in every player's agreement and in the Terms of Agreement prior to the deposit being made. If the card is a gift card, that is fine, and if it is still physically with you, please send it in with your ID and the CCVF so it can be noted for the future.
Also please note that once a card is verified, bodog.com does not require documentation for that card again.
Please give CS a call if you have any more questions or concerns- they will be happy to help.
Thank you! Becky

I understand that once a card is verified there is no need for bodog to ask again, but what nobody is expaining is what happens if i use 10 gift cards all at $100 to deposit.......then say, after 6 months i decide to make a withdrawl, do i need to verify all 10 cards used.

Usually the policy is that each card used on the account needs to be verified prior to any payouts. Once a payout is requested, the account will be reviewed and double checked to see which documentation is needed from the player. What bodog recommends is to send in a copy of each card after its first use, and they’ll keep the documentation on file for the future. If you have already sent in an ID, then an ID is not needed each time as its already on file.
If you have any more questions, I urge you to call CS for further clarification specific to your account.
Thank you, Becky

By them requiring verification prior to "payout" as oppose to prior to wagering/purchase, is clearly a stalling tactic, and nothing more. This enables them to collect on an abundance of fraudulent transactions, to which they have no regard or concern. Otherwise, they'd require verification BEFORE wagering/purchase.

BoDog. The ultimate reason why anyone is a fool to not join AT LEAST TWO BOOKS. (Including BoDog)
Do your homework. It's infallable. They tilt the favorite a half-point to a full-point (or money line) in almost every sport including football. Like the underdog? You always know where to go.
Ssshhh...keep it to yourself. Today's Best Bet advice.
As for the other issues. No book is in business to lose. We all know as soon as you're too successful you'll likely be shown the door. The number one reason to join more thanone offshore book!!

I like how they explain that they require this verification for your safety.
"I will start by saying that the security checks the Bodog licensees put in place are primarily for the players protection."
Every site does this, not just Bodog I believe. However, on a whole other story, Bodog is a bad book. But I digress.
If these sites were so concerned for your money and its safety, then they would verify your card, ID, and this form before hand. After you put the money in, its safety is gone. So lets say someone steals your card or card number, makes a deposit on a gambling site, your best bet is to hope they win so that they get caught and can't get your money out! Then maybe you'll be lucky and take over to get your funds. However, if they lose, you won't be seeing any of the money back from Bodog. You will have to battle with your bank over that. THANKS BODOG FOR CARING ABOUT MY MONEY, only if I win. Thanks.

There is no ID asked on deposit for convenience, the operators are assuming the risk, but if you are taking money out of the system there is a requirement to protect the card holder to ensure that the deposits were made legitimately. In the case of no payout, if the card holder contacted Bodog and could substantiate that they were a victim of identity theft, the situation could still be handled correctly with no one losing money. Everyone in the industry uses basically the same system.
Thanks, Becky

That same answer is so old. For "convenience". So when my money goes to you, safety makes way for "convenience". However, when your money comes to me, then "safety" is involved. Let's not think like gullible children. I understand all books do it, but let's not act like it's for our safety. You very well know that this often deters people from making withdrawals as quick or for smaller amounts, in hopes for winning bigger to make going through the hassle of completing this verification worthwhile. I know it happens to so many of us.
BTW, Matchbook you have to verify your credentials before placing any action.

Here is my issue with Bodog and this policy. They never ask for this information when the credit card is given and the money is placed on the card. But then, even if it is three years later , when you want your money back, they ask for the credit card. IT IS SO BEYOND OBVIOUS THAT THEY ARE HOPING YOU GIVE UP GETTING THE MONEY AND GAMBLE IT AWAY THAT IT IS LAUGHABLE. If this was really to protect the player and the card, they would check this right off the bat, when it makes sense. Before the card is even charged!!!!!!
Nah, they and a lot of the others have been pulling this chit for years and it continues. It is a ruse and Becky will always say that it is for the protection of the customer and never answer the question why not do on the first deposit, WHEN IT REALLY WOULD PROVIDE PROTECTION .
BECKY WE ARE WAITING FOR THE REPLY, AGAIN.

That said, jump through the hoop and get the money and get onto matchbook, where the odds are so so so much better . The customer service there is top notch.
