bodog

Is Bodog no longer considered a top book?  I know about the domain change but aren't operations there running normally now?  I personally don't have an account there but most of my friends have used bodog in the past so I figured it was one of the more popular books.

If I do start an account there, what problems do you see me having to go through?  I mean like payouts, credit card deposits, good/bad odds on lines, etc.  I don't mean problems as in the feds shutting the site down or the site taking off with my money.

I am using Intertops right now...just started and it seems to be a reliable site but the betting options kinda suck.  The software is bogus and making a parlay on there is not as fluent as it was with Beted (what I used before we all got F'd) where I could pick from many different sports/halftimes/etc.

Bodog is more trustworthy than Intertops...yea they don't have great lines, but you'll get paid. Not sure what deposit options they have for US players cuz I'm in Canada.

Anybody looking for a reliable book should check out Betpop.com....Been with them 3 years now and not one problem and they have great customer service..However, If you play Casino or poker go somewhere else....But if you like sportsbetting Betpop offers the best odds on teasers and parlays that I have seen on the net. I also have a 5 Dimes account they are very good as well. They used to be my first choice now they are pretty much my back-up because Betpop will usually have the better line If not then I will play with 5 Dimes.

EXACTLY.  The worst lines around... if you like paying lots of juice though, Bodog is your book!

I actually disagree with a lot of people on BoDog ; I love betting underdogs and for that purpose, they're pretty hard to beat.  For betting favorites though, they're probably the squarest book on the net.

The late lines and circled games are a major inconvenience though.

But their poker room is top-notch.

I usually play with dsi but since this seized thing I went into Bodog (in Canada).  Last week I requested a wire payout for $5200 and I got it today, about 5 days later.  Haven't been with them for long but so far can't complain. 

Ya I gave Bodog a try.  Their lines are terrible, but they do have a ton of betting options.  If you want to play favorites often...this isn't the site to go for.  Their user-friendly live betting helped me win nicely in the NBA Finals and in the NHL.  Soccer in-play is pretty nice too, with a ton of options.  I like how I can make a few "chump change" bets for a few dollars here and there instead of the $5 minimum I would face at 5Dimes.  Customer service has been great.  Haven't requested a payout yet but if ashuster above got a payout of that magnitude 5 days later then I don't foresee any problems there.  Their baseball live betting could be much improved, though.  It feels like I only have seconds between innings to back a winner or a total before everything locks up again. 

Basically, site has many betting options, $1 minimum, good customer service, supposedly good payouts, and decent live betting.  A major drawback, however, is their lines are usually a worse than other books (such as 5Dimes), as I've compared a lot of soccer and baseball lines lately. 

I thought so too when I won 5k in the poker room in a little over 24 hours and then had my account closed winnings stolen and told to beat it b/c I was colluding.  They outright stole my money.  Bodog is terrible.  Players beware.

Bodog's great. Love all the props and stuff. I'm a huge props guy. Will be taking my money there if betphoenix ever decides to give it back.

None of the bodog brand licensees would ever steal money from a customer.  Can you please PM me your account number and provide me with more details so I can get the facts?

Can you please ask the line managers to try and post lines a little earlier during commercial breaks?  I don't care about props.  I'm talking about spread, total and ML.

And by the way, sometimes, they don't post a line during a commercial.  Nothing is more annoying than refreshing your screen 30 times during a commercial because you want to place a bet and no line is ever posted.  Thanks.

I recently starting using Bodog for poker and sports betting.  Their odds aren't that great for sport games, but they do payout rather quick.  I have never had any problems with Bodog.   Customer service is very good also.  Very prompt and customer service is very important to me.
