I just had a 5Dimes check bounce

Sorry guys I have been in Aruba over the past couple weeks on my honeymoon!!!  Yes 5 Dimes did make good on the bounced check.  They had me scan and email them a copy of the bounced check and 48 hours later they put the funds back into my account.  I requested another withdrawl via check by courier for 3K (the max they allow) and my bank put a hold on it for 7 days and it cleared.  They did bend over backwards for me on this issue and I do give them credit for that but am currently getting most my money outta there.

My opinion is to bet in vegas, no payment issues, or find a local bookie you can trust.  Just think about it, they have your credit card or money in a foreign country, where is the value in that?

Yeah the limit on the amount they can send check via courier is totally lame. What plausible explanation is there that they can write you a 3000 dollar check but not a 4000 dollar check. It's clearly a tactic to not allow you to move your money as fast as you would like and if you ever had 20 grand with them and was requesting 3000 every few days without playing anymore, I'm sure each withdrawel would become more and more difficult. They know the longer they can keep our money in our accounts the better chance they have of getting it back.

BODOG is TERRIBLE!!   I had BIG issues with them....payouts/customer service, bonuses...

I am about to sign up for 5dimes. this post about payment issues shows how well their customer service is.

That post is so completely full of horseshit I dont know where to start.

Wow I am have been with 5dimes for about a year and this is scary what i am hearing about bounced checks. I went with 5dimes because I heard horror stories of shady online books that never payout and scam you. I went with 5dimes because they are an A+ rated book and supposed to be reliable on payouts aside from having great betting options. Last year I requested a payout by check and recieved it rather quickly and cashed it no problem.

I did have a few problems with 5dimes though that was frustrating so far:

1.When I requested a payout they made me go through all this ridiculous paperwork authorization first to get the payout.
I had to send in a copy of my license, a copy of my credit card front and back, and a signed authorization form allowing my cc to be charged. I was very reluctant to send all this info in as I was worried about identity theft, and felt it was just too much unnecessary info to have to give out. Especially since I am requesting a payout by check which has nothing to do with my cc.
Unfortunately for me since I used a cc to deposit, they said the only way for me to get a payout is if I sent all these forms in. I argued that why was I able to deposit with my cc without having to send in all that authorization info first. They could give me no logical answer and just said that is their policy. That seemed very shady and backwards to me. They held the payout until I got all the forms requested in and I did get my check and it didnt bounce.

2.Sometime between christmas and new years last year I requested a payout on a monday and they gave me some bs excuse that all their payouts were down because the banks were closed for the holiday. The only thing was there was no holiday. It was christmas, new years or any other holiday. I then tried again on wednesday that week and they said no payouts because they were down because of the "holidays" once again. When I argued what holiday it was in any country  and that the banks and everything is actually open they could not give me any good reason and just said thats how it is in a snobby way.

It is a fact that 5dimes uses all types of stalling methods to avoid payouts with hopes that you will eventually just gamble all your bankroll away over time thus they continue to profit. They make it very easy for you to make a deposit but very difficult to get a payout. They make you jump through all types of hoops first to get paid with your own $.

 I think we should all post our negative experiences with them so they are exposed and kept in check. This is the only way they are going ti be kept accountable. If their rating drops they will lose customers and they will need to fix the way they do business and improve their customer service.

So to the guy with the bounced check and any others with bad experiences please post them on review sites so we can keep 5dimes in check.

5Dimes is fine.  Everyone is just jumping on the pile now.  And all books hope you will gamble and lose the money back before it's shipped out.

Also all this paperwork that is called ridicolous paperwork is what every single book boes now.

5Dimes is fine and I would put this book in the top 3 anyday.

Ok well what about the bounced checks that ppl have gotten from 5dimes?

Any business or individual that bounces even 1 check is a serious hit on their accountability and reliability. There is no excuse for that.

I have gotten into it with Tony very publicly on 5dimes before and even had the operators of this website basically shit all over me in an article with Tony about my dispute, so it's not exactly like 5dimes and I are on good terms.

That being said, 5dimes is still one of the top 2 books available to US players, period. I would recommend them to anyone and feel confident that the person won't get screwed over.

Any bounced checks are not bounced because of anything 5dimes did, you need to look squarely at the payment processor for that one.

With the shell game that books have to play with processors and the U.S. goverment, bounced checks will happen.  5Dimes bounced a check to me in the past.  I called, and had another one in 3 days.

I take you haven't been in the online gambling world very long.  Things are diffrent now.  Very different.

Like any offshore site, 5dimes will have some complaints. But I've been around a long time now. Lipps has been around even longer. Both of us are telling you that 5dimes is one of, if not THE, best book offshore that is still willing to take US action. I say that even as someone who has had a very significant dispute with some of their rulings/gradings of wagers. I'd STILL recommend them despite feeling like I got the short end of the stick on a judgment call by the book.

That should tell you something.

My account suddenly has no money in it.  Sounds like somebody is playing in the casino drunk.

You have any idea how often online books hear that an account was hacked or some reason that money was suddenly gone ???? Everytime you log in your IP address is tracked. I'm so sure an A+ book took 1 K out of someones account. 

Believe what you want, your choice.  Listen to a couple of guys that knows 5Dimes very well or listen to some anonymous posters.
