western union blocked my transfer

I tried depositing $2000 and they blocked it.  Asked me questions about the receiver and stated I was being a victim of fraud.  I should have just stuck with under $1000 as never had problems with that amount.  I'm worried about getting questioned again if I do another transfer even if it's for just $800.  Should I be concerned.

You think.  They didn't say I was black listed.  The security guy just told me not to try to send to that person again.  He didn't say we don't want your business anymore.

If you use a CC, which not all books accept then at my book you have to wait 7 business days to request a payout then however many days before its processed.

This is all a pain in the ass-ive been wanting to deposit MG for sometime now but what do you do, go up to the teller and give them some oddball name in random countries?

I used to use those loadable credit cards from my local Winn-Dixie grocery stores. I think it was the Green Dot visa. 5Dimes accepts my credit card. So does Bodog, well, the processor formerly known as Bodog.

can't you just use a different name? you don't need an ID, and the sportsbook doesn't care what name you use.

just curious WKU i noticed in another thread your sports book account was up to 87,000 why would you still be sending money over to your book?

I indicated the last time I used MG I had issues.  That has been a while but never the less I have had issues in the past with WU which I'm banned from and had issues with MG the last time I used them with 5Dimes which was weeks ago.  I have my money with BM right now and uses a visa card with my deposit on my current run

i have an account with 5dimes and obviously i'm a US player i'm fairly new to the online gaming so unfortunately i haven't had the pleasure of making a withdrawal but i certainly plan on making many i hope!

anyways i deposit through credit card with them do you know if it's easier to make a withdrawal through WU than it is to make a deposit?

No apology necessary my friend.  5 Dimes will require you (as do all books I've ever used) to scan or fax them a copy of the CC you used and your driver's license as well.  There is also a Credit Card Sheet you can obtain from an email to their cashier's deparment which will have to be filled out as well and sent back to them.  I believe (it's been a while since I had to do this with them) I may have even scanned a utility bill because I moved since I had joined 5 Dimes.  It's VERY easy to make a deposit but to withdraw money you will have to jump through those hoops I mentioned I'm afraid (unless you already have done so of course).

I have only deposited money with WU (before becoming banned) and MG and my only method of withdrawing money has been through the "check my courier" method with 5Dimes and BM.  I have only had 1 problem with this method one time.  I did have a 5Dimes check bounce.  They (like all books) use a payment service company to send the money for withdraws.  The one time I had a check bounce I did have to scan and email them a copy of the check and it took a few days for the money to be put back into my account at which point I could request a new withdrawl at that point (that time I ended up losing the money so it was a double whammy...I had my check bounce, jumped thru 10 hoops to have the money reimbursed back into my account only to lose it).  The check my courier method will generally give you a check with a big name bank on it (Bank of America, Chase, PNC) and I have never had a problem with my primary bank accepting thecheck for a deposit into my checking account.

Thanks Rob...good luck to you.  Also a little advice to someone starting out in sports betting.  Whatever you do please make sure it DOES NOT consume your life.  If you go out with some buddies to watch the game and have a beer or two no big deal...watching NFL on sunday with action is great...but don't let it come first in your life.  I have let it take control of my life before and put it ahead of what's really important in life (family and friends of course).

I've been using WU for years. I had two money transfers held/blocked, both times I've had to call and speak to the fraud department. Had to tell them I knew who I was sending it to and that I knew that if it was a scam I can't get my money back. I agreed and they took the hold off both times. My third time(this weekend) I did another money transfer and there was no hold. I complained during my second phone call to WU, maybe that's why there was no hold not sure. The two times it was blocked it was on a Saturday, this weekend was a Sunday. If your transfers keep on getting blocked you just have to call WU and ask to be transfered to the fraud department and talk to them.

I have been banned from Moneygram, but have never used WU. Does anyone know if the big problem is making the deposits, and not picking it up? How many pick ups would you have to make for them to flag you?

I'm blacklisted from using WU too... I found out when I was supposed to receive 2500 from WU one... Not a big deal, but slight inconvenience.. The transaction was canceled and had to be sent to my best friend instead and we went together to pick it up... They finally caught up to me after using them for 10-12 yrs... Now MG is whats left and I feel Im also hanging on by a thread lol... Thats also why I need to find a REAL local by ME... Had one for yrs but he just started a family and wanted to lay low and not risk getting caught..  So if there's someone in the NY/NJ/CT area, give me a holler.. Youd think living in NY is so easy, but so many people keep it on the hush hush bc people are afraid to get pinched.. I dont go to bars often and im really the only degenerate amongst my friends LOL!  Looks like I'll have to go that route though and ask around since the internet is full of frauds. 

beagle25- You tried to send way too much. Once you hit that four figure amount, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Keep the amounts so that the whole transfer stays under $1000. Seeing as the book pays the fee, just send more of them but lower the amounts.

I got banned from Western Union years ago. They flagged a transfer one day and I talked this bitch in the fraud department. She asked me if I knew the person I was sending it to. I told her it was for a fellowship group. She paused and then told me I had sent to 37 different fellowship groups in five different countries. I got the money back and didn't use them again.

I am banned from MG going on 4+ years now. I was blacklisted with WU back in 2003 but moved out of the state I was in and they let me send and receive since 2005.

I send some in my name but a majority are sent by me using other names at agent locations that don't know me and have high turn over at the WU computer. I always use the phone number of my wife or kids so in case something does go wrong I can work on it.

I have used  Ted Simmons, Johnny Miller, Bill Bradley, Philip Collins to name just a few and have never had a problem.

when sending money use a different sender name, mg or wu doesn't require you to use ur real name, the sportsbooks don't care what name u use as sender they just want ur money, just tell the sportsbook what name u will use as sender, prob better off not using ur real name anyways when sending money 

Be careful using the same location to send I've gotten an ill feeling from the tellers at certain locations as if they're jealous if not leary of the frequency of times sending or the country being sent to.
