I'll start with post #6. There's no such thing as an illegal sports bet online. Making a wager with an online sportsbook that is licensed and chartered in a sovereign territory is perfectly legal. The US government wants sheep like you to think that it is. The US government has no authority over these operations. These sportsbooks can accept wagers from anyone anywhere. It's getting late. I guess you were absent the day they covered complete sentences, capital letters and punctuation in 3rd grade English class. The UIGEA which is a joke of a law that isn't worth the paper it's printed on only pertains to financial institutions. The farce law says that banks and credit card companies can't "knowingly" process gambling transactions. That's why offshore sportsbooks, casinos and poker rooms use third party processors. That way it isn't considered a gambling transaction when it's processed and/or shows up on a statement.

If the US wants to pass moronic laws to stop an activity that about 100 million people want to do and will continue to do, then it's the bettors and the sportsbooks job to find ways around it. I will continue to bet offshore as will millions of other people. There's many ways to move money around. Some are just more convenient than others.

The only thing you've said so far that's correct is that credit card companies have a right to decline any transaction they feel is gambling related. That would go for banks as well. The next time you go into the Las Vegas Hotel, ask Jay Kornegay if he feels any shame at all the way he robs the bettors by charging -150 on a two team, seven point teaser in football.
