I saw something on TV that had Tecmo Bowl (for Nintendo) on it.
Brought me right back to the 80's.
I remember there was an unstoppable play (I think it was the broncos) and a few other quirks.
Funny....

In the bars and dropping a shitload of quarters into Asteroids,Arkanoid and Birdie King
In an arcade a dual sided Ninentendo baseball game,my buddy and I would play entire games vs each other for $$.We'd have to have a stack of quarters on top at the ready and sometimes the game had a quirk where it would have a rain delay/cancellation in the middle of it.

My mom would always drop me off at the arcade with about $5-10 while she went shopping. I blew through the cash pretty quick and spent the next hour or so looking on the floor and under the machines for spare change.
But games that come to mind from that era are the Michael Jackson MOONWALKER. That game seemed like you got your money's worth.
The other was the Simpsons arcade game, although I don't think that came out until 1991. That was another one that you got your money's worth.
As far as old school I go with Pac-Man.
