no family or friends? volunteer at the nearest food bank and help those unfortunate. it'll be an experience you'll never forget. and you'll get a free meal out of the deal.

Great advice can you help me find out where I can find on in LA I will most definatly be doing this if I can find one in LA. Please anyone that reads this lets me know where to find this information.

There are many places in LA that need help, just walk the streets.
 
 
I will be spending Christmas with the Fam and possibly at the casino.

I will be in fact betting on all 3 games. The reaon I will be alone is all my familt ives back east and im just not going back this year im sick of it. And the closest thing I have to family out here is my ex girl friends fam who I dont wanna have dinner with. Im sure my chick will just come over xmas night and I just may go to the Laker game but doubt it as the tickets are way overpriced

I wish I were going to be all alone the next 2 days.......
 
25 people here at my place tonight....and then off to my brother in laws tomorrow with the same fuckign people......I would enjoy the peace and quiet.

I spent 16 straight Christmas's away from my family.  I lived in Wyoming, they all live in PA.  I only went back one year, and told them never again.  No problems with them, but livng and traveling in the mountain states in the winter sucks ASS.  Plus, traveling over the holidays is beyond shitty.  I told them I'd visit in the summer, which is what I do.
 
It was never a big deal to me.  I had some girlfriends in those years.  I spent some Christmas's with their families some years - which totally sucked, much worse than being alone. Almost all of those 15 years, I sat alone in some shitty apartment opening the presents my mother sent me every year - I'll have to admit, sometimes that was kind of weird.  Then, I'd usually go out to the bars. Every year there would be other people sitting alone commiserating, all bummed out or whatever.  It was always a weird night out at the bars. I always thought it was cool and told the cry babies to get over it.  Plus, there was the chance you could always run into chicks who were out cause they were home visiting for the holidays!
 
No family this year again, just me, the cats and my new wife.

I did the same thing two years ago, because of work on X-mas Eve and day after...made it completely prohibitive to travel to be with anyone of significance in my life, family, g-friend,etc. 
 
Treat yourself to the Lakers game no matter how much it might hurt your wallet. Screw money. Live for the day and have some fun for yourself.

Been doin it for 7 years now, all my family in canada and I work in the gaming industry in the usa, worst time of year for me, hang in there my brother.  Merry xmas to all the covers gang and all the best in the new year.
