Any ideas?
Let's hear'em.
Where are you staying? Right in Cabo? If so, go to Cabo Wabo & get there early, say 7-ish. It'll look empty but it fills up fast. They always have a good band playing, especially Thurs.-Sat. Behind it is a small bar (Rip's) & taco stand (Taco Loco)........good place for pre-game........you get a deal like 3 taco's & a beer for $5. (BTW.....you may want to change some $$ to pesos before you go........don't always get a good deal when you get down there).
There's a lot to do..........I DO NOT recommend renting a car your 1st time down........weird driving.........crooked (but not dangerous) cops. Golf is pricey as hell..........fishing can be bargained.........you can haggle for just about anything you want to buy, even in the stores downtown. There's a mexican costco on the east side of town & a walmart () back up the highway a bit from town............gotta take a booze-cruise at least once while you're there........lots of fun, especially if you're on the younger side. Go to The Sand Bar or The Office & have some beers/shots on the beach.
Arrange for transport to cabo from airport..........shuttles will run about $20/person each way..........it's about a 45 min. trip depending on stops........& avoid the timeshare vultures right after you go through security.......just get outside & find your van.
Have a blast ..........& watch yourself in the sun. It's like Hawaii........you can get burnt quick.

I believe you're up the beach a ways from town. You can walk to town on the beach but you'll likely want to take a cab back after imbibing a bit. Always use the cab stand at the resort & wherever you're leaving from.....restaurant, bar, other resort, etc. There are some rogue cabbies. Check your resorts website or call them about transportation.........some of them contract with Transcabo or other companies. Go peruse the cabo san lucas forum on Trip Advisor........you can get some more good tips.
I agree with Snappa..........CSL is probably the safest area in Mexico.......but don't go wandering out from town too far, especially after dark. The locals are friendly & want your biz...........but just be smart.
Also............on the plane you are going to be given some paper work to fill out before you land. Listen closely & do as they tell you...........it'll save you some headaches.
Damn.........I can't go again til next spring...........love it down there.
