Well ive played on fanduel but never draft kings ill give you my opinion. I don't know if you would call it cheating. I can tell you this they use computer databases to help them pick players. Its kind of like stock trading computer software you can buy. Is it cheating well not technically. But it gives you a huge advantage.
Computers look at stats categorized over a number of years and they can accurately predict who is going to have a good game against a certain opponent in any give night. People have said in chat they used computer software to do there line up. That's why you see some people with 100+ entries. They don't spend a lot of time on it computer software comes up with players that are likely to have a good night and generates teams then they plug the players in. The person just enters those players and submits a team.
I know people that collude together in the 50/50s to to win money. They enter multiple times maybe combining money and sharing profits. Roomates and such things like that. If you have a 50 player 25 dollar entry fee thing do you have better odds of winning something with 1 entries in it or 10 entries in it? I know a number of people that work together on there rosters to.
People will do whatever when it comes to money. I won an nba tournament for over 2000 dollars but I did not win money overall on the site. I would stick with the heads up matches think that's your best chance to win I liked the 100 dollar heads up with rcgpoker and sox.
I really liked the site I played without problems for about two and a half years until fanduel changed the rules. There was no restricted states then one day they came up with a list of five out of thin air apparently. I have records showing my scores and my payment transfers from paypal. Not one problem but fanduel changed the rules and won't let me play because iowa is one of those states. I cancelled my account id say 7 to 8 months ago. I enjoyed it its fun. Is it 100% legit I wouldn't bank on it. Its a shame that a company like that can just change rules out of thin air.
Miss playing csuram88,sox, and rcgpoker I was moneyman83.

Meanwhile, just 1.3% of all DFS players accounted for 40% of fees and won 91% of player profits. The bulk of this upper echelon spent an average of $9,100 on fees, on which they realized profits of $2,400, while accounting for 23% of all fees and 77% of the profits.
The top 11 players of this 1.3% are the true DFS sharks, spending an average of $2m in entry fees and realizing profits of $135k apiece. These 11 players accounted for 17% of all entry fees.
On the flip side of that equation, 5% of players are DFS’ ‘big fish,’ accountable for 36% of entry fees and 75% of all losses. These whales spent an average of $3,600 entering DFS contests, losing about $1,100 in the process. (The remaining 16% of fees were contributed by another 13.7% of players.)
