Who works manual labor 84 hours per week? That's just ludicrous. If you sleep normal time, you've barely got enough time to shower, eat and brush your teeth. You should be nervous. You will be miserable.

Starting new always sucks. Just know they will have some sort of training. You may not be as fast as the seasoned vets. But don't sweat it. Thing about jobs at places like that you repeat processes a lot. So in a short time you will learn and the new guy mishaps all go through at first will be a thing of the past. Key is to not repeat mistakes by learning from flub ups which are inevitable in learning. Long term employees take for granted they know all the ins/outs and company lingo and sometimes forget when they started. Just be sure to not be scared to ask questions as you go along. Its better to ask and try to do the right thing than to blindly find your way through the processes they expect you to learn and know.

Also know that people perform these positions everyday. If they can do it. U sure as hell can figure it out because they should have like I said a little training along with another employee you will be working with to help you at first. Go in and have the attitude if it can be done, you can do it too. Go in with the I want to learn and can do attitude and you will be fine. Just make sure to varify expections if they have a pieces per hour goal the warehouse expects for employees in that area. If so, they know new employees are not instant superstars. But u need to keep track what you produce per hour versus what the top performers are doing. Then observe their habits and improve on what they do and your #'s will get better in time if you try to get sharper and faster. Good luck to you grasshopper.

there is no large company that wants to pay YOU to work 84 hours a week doing "parts" work when they can hire 2 people @ 42 hours and save 44 hours of overtime.

do the 7 days a week and it'll back off. You'll be screwing lugnuts on with a zip drill for probably a week - Hyundi isn't stupid. They will baby sit an teach you on the line.
Relax and make friends there.

Hahahahaha I can't take this seriously.....nervous for what? NEED to work to support your family? You've been out of work for 2 years, what in the f*ck do you have to lose? Sounds like you can get a better gig than this Auschwitz labor camp you are about to attend

I feel your pain. I have been working for myself out of the house for the past 3 1/2 years. Business dried up about 6 months ago and I have been procrastinating getting back in the work force.
After successfully working for myself I REALLY don't want to go back to a regular 9-5 and answer to Lundberg but I also hate watching my savings slip away.
I can't tell you how much I don't want to go back to being chained to a desk for 8 or 9 hours but I wouldn't want to work in a Chinese sweat shop like you either.
Good luck hope it all works out.

2 years and not working? Quit sponging off the working people and government and work. There isn't a waffle house or 7/11 where you live? What's the matter with you bud?
