I played in the late 90's ('96-'99) and it was the same then
you had to sign your life away....and if you got a job you had to report all your wages and income to the Compliance Officer
I had a relative pass away and leave me some money when I was in school so at the time I bought a new car....that was a pain in the ass as well....I had to show how I got the money and all that
and again I did not even play football or hoops....those guys had it 10x worse from the NCAA
but the trade off for them was a free education and tons of girls lining up to sleep with them
for some reason the Golf team did not get those perks
