People want to be my friend. I get that, whats not to like?
So when I hit "accept friend", I alway have anticipation that it is the start of a long and fruitful relationship. But it never is.
What is the point of being friends at covers? I know you can send PM's, but is there something else? A trophy at the Lous Hot Tub Annual Awards if you have the most friends?
Is there some secret functionality that I am missing out on?
Dont get me wrong. I love my covers friends. I would just like to not feel jilted all the time. They all love me and leave me.

I've had friend requests from posters I've never even heard of so the question remains: Why would they even want to be friends with me?
I think I've PM'd about 4 other "friends" in my life. I check it about once every 2-3 months.
It's a good way to relay confidential information or give information on websites that covers prefer to NOT be published in the "regular" forums. But if you ask me, that's about it.
Bottom line is, I wouldn't feel bad about it. It's not you....it's them.

The only reason I request friends is to have the option to send PM requests. Other than that I agree that it's pointless other than to collect big tittied avatars.

I hear you. Every time I get a friend request I think it's going to be followed by a PM but it almost never is. I've received some pretty strange PM's at this place but that's another issue.

Van you might be missing one thing. There are some under the radar cappers that are very good but hard to find. I have several on my list so instead of searching all over I can click on their icon and find them.
Your not that hard to find.

No real reason to have covers friends except the occasional message. Kinda like all the people you probably still have in your email account that you used to know 15 years ago.
Any chance I can join your yacht club?

Damn it Hutch, stop being such an enabler... Perhaps it's time Van faces up to some cold hard possible truths. Van is high maintenance and quite frankly a little too much of a radical for most.
Oh sure in the begging of your relationship with him, its a laugh a minute and the good times just seem to roll with ease. Then slowly but surely, he starts sneaking in little hints and requests like.... " I think you should try hummus," which leads to , "You know I really don't know if i can respect you as Covers friend if you don't recognize the greatness of hummus" Pretty much the exact same story with fleshlights.... Next thing you know, he's trying to indoctrinate you with his zany theories about "beating the line", or the old "don't parlay wagers, that would put you in a position to hedge" mumbo jumbo. Shit, if you're not careful, he'll try and convince you that "trap lines, and/or reverse trap lines don't even exist. Fn' lunacy. Anyway, some relationships end with a bang, and some are death by paperucts, I guess mine was the latter. I just think, it may be time to address the elephant in the room and let him deal or not deal with these issues on his own going forward.

I just went to my home page to see if I had any friend requests. I have Lou and Rizzo pictures there.
These mutts look like a bad episode of Grizzly Adams or something.
But seriously Vansack..........your contributions to this board usually offer more insight per sentence than 95% of the others. You're respected more than anything else, that is my take.

is it possible that too many cavemen on here try and add you as a friend who end up being the types to just end up looking up at the stars instead of evolving? Is that why you might feel jilted all the times because more often than not you could have ran over so many kids on here who cross all the streets instead of going to a crosswalk with a signal? my goodness am i so guilty myself at wishing i had a luxury type suv to run over some people who might deserve it but i only can take the bus and listen to my ipod
