They say these birds are the smartest in the world so I'm leaving them shelled peanuts at 9am every day on the dot I don't see them but they see me and I know they are testing the waters. It's been 5 days of careful steady movements in the backyard at all times because I know they are always watching.
My plan is to befriend one.. Ya think I have a shot? Any crow tips helpful.

Stay away. They'll steal your soul. I saw an Eagle the other day that looked like it could easily pick up my cocker spaniel. And she's over 20 pounds. That thing was huge. Shit, it looked like it would pick me up.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

When I was in the Airforce and stationed in Misawa, Japan, the crows would tear through the on base, public, outdoor trash container. They knew how to tear through the bags and Styrofoam cases with left over fast food and looking for left over chicken wings. (A drunk's favorite order) I along with many other low ranking "Airmen" were then tasked to pick up all the trash come Monday morning. It was because of this, that they started putting heavy lids on the trash cans but every now and then, a person would forget to put the lid on and leave the trash exposed
They are smart. I'm very sure that you'll be able to befriend one..
Interesting vid..
"Schrödinger's bet." A bet that loses when you bet it but wins when you DON'T bet it...

It is impossible to earn a Crow's trust when they are born wild. They are extremely smart birds. A hand raised Crow, either hatched or injured young, is a sure bet. You are wasting peanuts away to squirrels. LOL

I have four adult Canada Geese that look over 60+ gosslings. Every evening between 7-9pm they stop over for cracked corn. Same thing last year. There's one male I call PaPa that beats any goose who is not part of the family as other adults come and try for the cracked corn. PaPa is relentless, kick's everybodies ass!! They say dominate pairs take the young from other parents. Obviously, as there over 60 gosslings!! PaPa and I have a respectful relationship. He don't bother me and I respect his ground.
The few crows in the area don't hang around. Not too friendly.
Bald Eagles will take gosslings if there only a couple, don't bother the large groups. Hence, they group up.
Sandhill Crane pair nest here every year too. Last yr both of their young were done in by predators.

My experience with seagulls was deep sea fishing on a charter boat in gulf of maine
Back in the day you paid 60.00 a person to go deep sea fishing they rigged you up an outfitted you and we jigged for cod and Haddock on the way in for 25 cents a fish the first mate would filet them. And toss the junk out the back of the boat....
Within minutes so many seagulls came it was if the blotted out the sun. From every where and a minute before not a one in the sky . We were about 20 miles from shore but it was incredible the amount of birds that arrived.

Only at fast food/Walmart parking lots and landfills. Saw some once picking used condoms out of the sewage tanks at a wastewater plant then dropping them in the parking lot. Never could get that outa my head!
My wife feeds squirrels cookies on our deck. This seagull showed up last year and when he didn't get a cookie he knocks on the sliding glass door. Does it about three times a week now. Just knocked a few hours ago. One is funny, any more is too much.

Would you cook a seagull like you would cook a squirrel?
no squirrel tastes bitter here possibly all the red oak acorns. You have to salt it then boil it and finally fry in vinrgar sauce and still bitter as opiods..
seagull like ruffed grouse the breast is about all that worth dealing with, again boil as long you would a bald eagle season it with lemon pepper and broil it to texture of filet mignon.
