Theres a big difference between punching someone at a bar and throwing a french fry at someone. A misdemeanor and a summons to court would have been good enough here, but to charge him with a felony and put him in jail is overkill.

You're a fucking moron there's not much more to say about it. He was told plenty of times to stop so he got splashed with water problem solved. They wouldn't act like that in public so no need for you to act manly here and do nothing when the time comes.

I think it's obvious that this father lacks parental skills and good judgment.  But I also think it's borderline retarded that this guy faces criminal charges for throwing fries at his kid.  What if he threw his big mac instead?  No charge?  I understand it would make some people mad to see an adult throw food at their kid, but jailing this guy for this act seems overboard.  I have no intention in getting into some yelling match with anyone in this thread, this is just my two cents ... i'm moving forward ...

This dude is definitely not a good father...or step father in this case.

Besides being charged with assault and battery, IMHO he should also be charged with endangerment to a minor but feeding her unhealthy junk food at McDees.

parenting & kids are sure different in 2012.

when i was a child, i was beaten! whooped! ass-kicked!  you name it.  sometimes, without legitmate reasoning. nowadays, parents have to deal with their own child reporting on them and kids do take that to their advantages.

in short, system has many defects, so are the kids, and the parents.
