Ditka has been on thin ice for quite a while now at ESPN.

Been told repeatedly to keep his personal politics to himself.

It's certain opinions they don't want aired though.  Meanwhile black person sexu als are prized unicorns to be worshiped.  Stuff catches up to them though, their audience is shrinking as we post in this thread.

I sincerely think you missed my point.  You are too stuck in the politics.... yes you love Obama - we get it.

The point is that ESPN has been declining and ushering out the very best talent for 10+ years.  Any objective person that views sports media would agree.

Goose  - you hate big business right?  ESPN takes all of their marching orders from the real mothership, and that has been apparent from the day the transaction was complete.

BTW -- Ditka was spot on in his comments!

When I turn on ESPN I don't want to hear stupid political garbage regardless of who they are supporting or not. 


Just like when I come to covers I don't to hear stupid political garbage.  But sportsfan the site's village idiot can't help him.  Covers should fire him lol

When watching TV - switch off ESPN.... simple

When coming to the covers forum, go to one of the sports forums = again simple.

Not an "Omama Lover" but I will certainly take his last seven years over GWB & Cheney and their eight year run.  And it's not even close... 9/11, going to war over "weapons of mass destruction", the real estate collapse, and on and on and on and on.  GWB & Cheney crashed the bus and left our country stuck in the ditch.  NOT EVEN CLOSE!

As far as the politics go, and I don't know how many times I have to tell you these things before you comprehend, I am very Libertarian on all political ideals.  I am a responsible gun owner both hunting and home defense.  I am against raising most taxes.  I detest military adventurism around the globe.  I would have much preferred Rand Paul over Trump.  NOT EVEN CLOSE!

Please go back and read the last two paragraphs because I am sick and tired of repeating myself all over this covers website.  Those are my beliefs, that's where I stand on the issues, and my opinions are constant and will not change.  That's what I believe.  Get it?  Got it?  Good.

Lastly, back to the subject matter.  This is nothing new.  Ditka started this nonsense a few years back.  ON AIR QUOTE... "Obama is the worst President ever".  Now, how the He!! does that kind of a personal political comment contribute to an ESPN broadcast?  It doesn't belong in on air comments during sport program.  99.9% of people are tuned into ESPN for sports and don't want to hear personal political comments and I'm sorry if you fall into the .1 percent category.

The real mothership being Disney.

Disney/ABC warned Tim Allen n several occasions for "going too far" with several scripts of Tim Allen's show Last Man Standing because his character constantly rips Liberals, Obama, Hillary and Democrats in general.  Episodes of the show had to be changed for expressing the incompetency of the Obama Admin.

However, it's no problem to have their shows rag on Bush and Republicans.

Rush Limbaugh still scratching his head over why his job interview for MNF color commentator went badly.  Change the station Rush.  If you don't like it, try a different channel.  Change it.  Change the channel Rush.  Change the station.  You can change the channel you know?  Did I mention you can change the channel?

Rush was fired for his commentary - which was why he was hired.  You blame Rush, I suggest you blame ESPN brass for being idiots.

Dennis Miller comes to mind.  Another commentator who couldn't keep his mouth shut and stay on subject with the game.  So it's not like DITZka couldn't have learned from the past.

DITZka should have also learned from Jon Gruden.  Here's a guy that does his commentary job without any political overtones.  Gruden is excellent.  Does his Rah-Rah-Rah USO tour stuff in the off-season.  Now that's what I'm talkin' about.

i never watch espn unless a game is on but the few times i've heard this guy speak, i sincerely hope he is not the best espn has to offer.  wouldn't it be more accurate to call him the worst?
