.00000051 is a very, very small number. For example:
There are about 60 confirmed cases of reinfection globally. That’s far less than 1% of the 112 million coronavirus cases reported around the world. BNO News, a Dutch news site, is tracking reinfections at a global level; it’s identified 57 confirmed cases of reinfection
But even if antibodies disappear, then the cells that manufacture them, called B cells, may still be around. B cells for Spanish Flu have been found in people 90 yearsafter that pandemic.
If the same is true with Covid, then a second infection would be milder than the first.
It is also not understood what happens to T cells in the long term. But T cells against the original Sars (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) have been found 17 years later.
There were early reportsof people appearing to have multiple coronavirus infections in a short space of time.
But the scientific consensus is that testing was the issue, with patients being incorrectly told they were free of the virus.
PHE's ongoing study on immunity in healthcare workers found 44 potential re-infections in a group of 6,614 people who had previously had the virus.
Researchers conclude reinfection is uncommon but still possible

I would stop being so frightened over something like this.
If you are so scared, by all means, get vaccinated and continue to wear two masks and isolate.
But please don’t frown on others that haven’t fallen for the non-scientific okey-doke yet.

Not sure if you meant this to be syllogistic or not. But I see it as a classic case of a categorical proposition.
Which seems to fail any logic test to me.
However, if you like, maybe start a thread on that if you like and we can see where that leads.
Any thoughts on the studies of masks (specifically, cloth masks) being ineffective?

@Raiders22
Although I'm in a higher risk classification at age 64 I do not plan to get a Covid-19 vaccination. It's quite possible I was positive with the virus last spring. Endured about eight weeks of both side shoulder pains that sometimes flared to agony and also experienced minor chest congestion. About two weeks after these symptoms dissipated I tested just for the heck of it and came back negative.
I continue to wear a bandana over my nose and mouth when I run simple errands. In more populated areas like a grocery store or for my casino trips I will also wear a standard mask under my bandana.

Brother you know you can get it again , and possibly much worse?
What makes you not want to get the vaccine ?

I would strongly recommend that you consider getting the vaccine.
One's age, potential comorbidities, obesity, etc. all play a role. There is even some thinking that it is worse on older males than older females.
You can get a test to see if you have the antibodies or not. If you just got the 15-minute test -- they are not that accurate. A full PCR test is more accurate (especially if you are not showing symptoms). So, you could have had it but still tested negative. Or you could have had it and gotten over it by the time you took the test.
I would not wear a bandana. You should at least wear a surgical mask. This whole thread is about how ineffective cloth masks are!

Golden goose is right. Denying crisis or under reaction is a far bigger problem than over reaction. That is one of the reasons why US, India and Brazil have the most covid cases and deaths in the world. Best performing countries didn't downplay seriousness of pandemic.
Anti-mask extremists dispute broad scientific consensus on the effectiveness of masks in preventing spread of coronavirus. Anti-vaxers and anti-maskers believe science has been politicalized. They think restrictions are a plot against freedom. But without mitigation, there would be far more cases, hospitalizations and deaths. Recent Massachusetts institute of technology study found masks are more effective indoors than physical distancing in limiting spread of virus. Every academy of science in the world recommends masks.

The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of cloth masks to medical masks in hospital healthcare workers (HCWs). The null hypothesis is that there is no difference between medical masks and cloth masks.
Clinical respiratory illness (CRI), influenza-like illness (ILI) and laboratory-confirmed respiratory virus infection.
The rates of all infection outcomes were highest in the cloth mask arm, with the rate of ILI statistically significantly higher in the cloth mask arm (relative risk (RR)=13.00, 95% CI 1.69 to 100.07) compared with the medical mask arm. Cloth masks also had significantly higher rates of ILI compared with the control arm. An analysis by mask use showed ILI (RR=6.64, 95% CI 1.45 to 28.65) and laboratory-confirmed virus (RR=1.72, 95% CI 1.01 to 2.94) were significantly higher in the cloth masks group compared with the medical masks group. Penetration of cloth masks by particles was almost 97% and medical masks 44%.
This study is the first RCT of cloth masks, and the results caution against the use of cloth masks. This is an important finding to inform occupational health and safety. Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection. Further research is needed to inform the widespread use of cloth masks globally. However, as a precautionary measure, cloth masks should not be recommended for HCWs, particularly in high-risk situations, and guidelines need to be updated.

The use of cloth masks is widespread around the world, particularly in countries at high-risk for emerging infections, but there have been no efficacy studies to underpin their use.
This study is large, a prospective randomised clinical trial (RCT) and the first RCT ever conducted of cloth masks.
The use of cloth masks are not addressed in most guidelines for health care workers—this study provides data to update guidelines.
The control arm was ‘standard practice’, which comprised mask use in a high proportion of participants. As such (without a no-mask control), the finding of a much higher rate of infection in the cloth mask arm could be interpreted as harm caused by cloth masks, efficacy of medical masks, or most likely a combination of both.

We have provided the first clinical efficacy data of cloth masks, which suggest HCWs should not use cloth masks as protection against respiratory infection. Cloth masks resulted in significantly higher rates of infection than medical masks, and also performed worse than the control arm. The controls were HCWs who observed standard practice, which involved mask use in the majority, albeit with lower compliance than in the intervention arms. The control HCWs also used medical masks more often than cloth masks. When we analysed all mask-wearers including controls, the higher risk of cloth masks was seen for laboratory-confirmed respiratory viral infection.

I know I have presented this and the data in the study before. I get that it is very detailed and esoteric. But I highlighted the pertinent points.
Why wear a cloth mask -- WHEN the SCIENCE says they are not effective?
If need be -- wear a surgical mask.

One last point to emphasize this:
Surgical masks can provide in-vivo filtration protection of 95% filtration efficiency. N95 respirators provide higher in-vivo filtration efficiency of 97% with significant reduction of air permeability and water vapor permeability. Compared to normal surgical masks/respirators, the nano-masks can provide additional protective functions in stopping capillary diffusion and antibacterial activities.

"Brother you know you can get it again , and possibly much worse? What makes you not want to get the vaccine?"
I would consider the Johnson and Johnson one shot. Possibly the Pfizer two shot. That Moderna two shot is garbage. People puking and bed-ridden days after the 2nd Moderna shot. My feeling is these vaccines got rushed out way too early. I want to observe more reactions people experience from all three vaccines.
What would be nice is if the antibodies testing was less expensive. I could also very well be asymptomatic so that's my reasoning for wearing the mask(s). Common courtesy for my fellow human beings. Right now, knock on wood, I'm feeling great. Very strong.

While they keep not getting sick..I mean , seriously? How stupid are you?
Wearing a mask long term will in fact harm your health. That's common sense

The last thing a production company wants are shutdowns due to covid outbreaks. I know people who have had Covid three and four times already so it's just a part of reality now. Pre-Covid 19, corona viruses causes something like 12%-25% of common colds, with most being caused rhinoviruses. I'm guessing now that number is probably realistically over 30%. People are going to contract corona viruses. People are going to catch colds. Unless they are SARS causing variants, we don't need to lose our shit.
A movie studio implementing a mask mandate isn't shocking though.

We will see. I totally understand this from the perspective of a film studio. I'm sure it's a broad company wide policy aimed at protecting productions from delays/shutdowns that just happens to also affect those working in a more traditional office capacity.
Extremes will be if we see mask mandates in stores, bars, etc again, which I highly doubt. At this point, I don't know very many people who haven't had Covid yet so the fear isn't quite the same. I think we need to retrain our brains, and adjust nomenclature, to account for, say, contracting a corona virus and exhibiting cold symptoms as opposed to there being a proliferation of a SARS causing corona virus.
