Not racial or animal rights related.

    I'm just curious.

Do people here willingly put this crap in their body when they have the money and stores/options for so many other meal choices?

I seriously would not even want to know what is in a McRib. And the sauce looks like motor oil.

Chicken Nuggets? Nobody eats this after all we know about it (and we know it's 'frankenchicken') do they?

Who here has said, "and one 6 piece chicken nuggets please" in the past month?

Taco Bell? The place has that 'off' smell I can't put my finger on. Disgusting.

And the cleanliness of the place? None to speak of. Lettuce strands on the floor. Hot sauce on the tables. The sour cream comes out of a spackle gun for god's sake. I'm afraid to wipe my face with the napkins, nevermind eat the stuff.

All the photos on the web are from Taco Bell of people licking the tacos or worse.

So the question is, do you really eat this crap? I can't fathom the thought of it.

This stuff is toxic. Do you know what you are doing to your body? If you have one life, and you do, do not put this 'food' in your body.

BK, Arby's etc. Lump them all together with these.

I'll only get a smoothie or shake at McD's.   Haven't had Taco Bell in a while.   I'll just make some at home or get Chipotle, which ironically is owned by McDonalds.....

Arbys Market Fresh sandwiches/wraps aren't bad.   Can't eat their roast beef anymore....hard to eat anything that looks like an oil slick on asphalt.

Exacly. In surprised more adults don't have that mentality. Just take the bun top off and LOOK at what you are eating You won't find it appetizing.

Chipotle. Not bad but not great. At least they put the ingredients in front of you, cooked and served.

I agree.  The garbage is toxic.

The problem is, its cheap and convenient.   Two things that Americans can't resist.

Scal-I applaud you for this post. I was sent to the dietician recently after getting the results of some blood work and like most American's my cholesterol and triglycerides were HIGH.

She gave me some information and I cut back on coke. It was a staple for years but after finding out that If you purchase a bottle of cola with 44 grams of sugar, you divide 44 by 4.2 (which is what a gram of sugar equals) and it is equal to about 10 teaspoons of sugar that you are putting in your body. Food for thought!

I'm from Romania and I can say McD is the most loved american fast-food brand here. I eat from time to time, but nothing exagerated. BK went out of bussiness here, Subway isn't doing so good either. Neither does KFC. People, after the 1989 revolution, saw McD and didn't want noghing else ever since. I can honestly say that a lot of romanians eat at McD on a regular (maybe daily) basis. Our kids are fat, our national health is decreasing. But it tastes good, that's the excuse everyone, including myself, uses.

I used to all the time. I then cut back tremendously over the last year or so but have found myself eating at places like these more and more...definitely need to cut it out again! Maybe just limit it to places like Chick-Fil-A and Chipotle. I'm 25 and feel like I am gonna die when I eat something like a Quarter Pounder

I'll hit up Chick-Fil-A once a month or so as a treat.

I would much rather get a good $9-$10 burger at a restaurant vs. getting something for a $1 or $2 at a fast food place.  Considering they are still making profit on that $1 burger I must wonder what exactly is in it.......

There's kids in Africa that are starving and have to settle for rats to eat for dinner whilst this guy here is turning his nose up on perfectly good food because of his hippie, vegetarian mentality. He hates on White people yet shares some of the very traits he accuses us of having, Interesting, Very interesting.

Only as a treat....maybe once a month.  And I usually get a couple of chili cheese burritos.  If I get a taco, I go fresco for a little less fat.

When I do go to McDonalds (which is rare), it's usually a couple breakfast burritos which does wonders for a hangover.

I eat almost zero pre-prepared food.  I can never find anything in the middle aisles at grocery stores because I never shop there.  If I'm out at a restaurant, I bypass the fries and get fruit or a salad about 2/3 of the time.

Nothing wrong with eating some crap now and again if you don't make it a habit.

The sour cream comes out of a spackle gun for god's sake.

Doesn't mean it's not sour cream.  Sour cream isn't the easiest to spoon on a taco (soft or hard shell) without creating all sorts of problems (due its consistency).  It's just a tool that makes the easier.  It is called FAST food.

I'm not saying I even know what kind of sour cream they use.  But to just assume it's horrible because they use a spackle gun is prejudiced behavior if you ask me.

Mmmmm the fish sandwich at McDonald's is good, but that's about it. I probably do eat too much Burger King though. That damn whopper does me in when I don't have time to sit down and eat. It's the convenience factor that screws me and well the fact that my wife can't cook for sh*t. She hasn't approved a mistress for cooking purposes yet so until then I will eat my whopper once a week. It has to be on par with some of the processed food at the store though.

It was a staple for years but after finding out that If you purchase a bottle of cola with 44 grams of sugar, you divide 44 by 4.2 (which is what a gram of sugar equals) and it is equal to about 10 teaspoons of sugar that you are putting in your body. Food for thought!

Number one rule is don't drink your calories and portion control.   Orange Juice has alot of calories which many don't realize either.

I like both.  Don't eat all the time but once in awhile is fine.  People do more things in life that's worse for them than eating either.

And Chipotle.  I doubt there calorie estimates are correct.  Looks like you get almost double the calories for most what is posted.

Unfortunately the last time I was there was 3 years ago, cant beat that meal.  Tomato and Onion and Shrimp Cocktail to start.  Porterhouse for 4 with creamed spinach and a baked potato.  My fridge always has 2 bottles of their steak sauce, cant beat it.
