Agree with all of this!  You have great taste.  This may be my exact top 5.  I would also throw Old school Dr. Dre and Snoop along with Wu tang up there.  Old Kanye too. 

Currently there are no good rappers.  It's all trash and it's all the same.  All of it sounds the same even the voices.  I have a heard time telling the difference between Drake and Wayne.  They both suck.  All they lyrics suck too.  Rap about the same crap.  Money, hos, alcohol, dropping money at the club/strip club.  These guys have no creativity like the old greats.  All the crap is the same now

Check out BET these days. This shit makes the Cash Money Millionares look like Mozart. It is pathetic and a sad sign for youths and the urban community. How stupid are kids today. This is a good barometer. Doesn't look good.

No doubt.  I'm in my early 30's and this young generation of kids and even in their early 20's actually think this new rap is good.  Completely clueless.  Worst generation of music ever.  They don't even realize that 75% of every rap song that is made is copied off of an older rapper and made worse.  It's pathetic

Anyone that listens to Rick Ross is a complete clown with no respect for rap. This motherfucker pulled off a REAL LIFE CB4 and people are actually supporting this fat fuck.

As the crack generation and gang culture of the 80's and 90's fades, so do the stories that made rap so intriguing in the first place. Does ANYONE give a fuck what Mac Miller or Wiz Khalifa has to say? I don't, that's for sure. Nothing compelling whatsoever.

While rap might not be dead genre, it's fading fast.

They may stand the test of time, but doesn't mean up and comers can't be as great. 

Big K.R.I.T. - Being compared to some of the greatest southern rappers of all time.
Meek Mill - Great flow.
Kendrick Lamar - compared to Tupac in regards to the subject matter he puts out.
XV-Has dropped over 15 mixtapes.  Will blow up soon.
ASAP Rocky - Harlem rapper that has great flow and lyrics.
J Cole - Some of the best lyrics I've ever heard out of a rapper.
2 Chainz - Working with everyone.  Used to be Titty Boy.  Getting major hype.
Sez Batters - Sweet 16 Mixtape is amazing.
Saigon - Greatest Story Never Told Album is amazing.

Kanye + Jay-Z - Watch the Throne = Classic
Pusha T - Continues to kill it without Malice.
Common - One of the best ever.
Game - Has put out amazing mixtapes recently and RED Album was solid.
Lupe - Food and Liquor 2 will be a Classic.  Last album sucked because he got in a fight with his record label.
T.I. - Always good.
Nas - Coming out with highly anticipated album.

I never said that at all. That was another poster. I'm simply stating it's already been done before. The reason rap became prominent is no longer existent. It has to evolve and Rick Ross isn't moving forward...

Ross nowhere near the greatest of all time, not even part of the conversation. He does make some great songs though and he's definitely on top of the rap game at this moment in time.

Kind of lost credibility when you put Big Sean, Wiz Khaliffa, and 2 Chainz on list of up and coming rappers.  Really?  These guys are main stream pop artist rappers.  Garbage. 

and you can't put Drake on a list with Jay Z and compare them as Vets together.  Drake has been around a few years.  Jay Z has been winning grammy's since Drake was in diapers.  Kanye and Eminem are also later generation can't lump those guys in with newer artists.
