Does anyone know of a good website for engagement rings?


I've been to every store in town (Jareds, Kay, Zales, etc) and the prices are unbelievable

Don't buy that ring on-line. Find a diamond broker and make a deal for the diamond and then wrk with a jeweler on the ring and setting.

I know this sound strange but buy a round trip ticket to one of the duty free islands and go get it for one third the cost.

 

Down and back in two days. Maybe save 5k.

a duty free island is the way to go if you plan on spending a good chunk of change ... that's why i asked him how much he was looking to spend.

can't really give an answer unless you know that ...........

I would assume in th 10k range like most and he would save 5k.

what do you guys mean by duty free island? how does that work? i'm actually looking for a ring as well, but planning on spending around 7K.

i googled some of the stores, and there are a lot of websites that look really shady..

anyone have any reputable stores? i want to see how much the prices differ from where i'm at.

Got my wife's engagment ring through Blue Nile about four years ago and have no complaints. Got a very good quality 1 carat for about 4g, with band it came to about 5g. The stone itself is gorgeous, she gets compliments everywhere she goes. This was 4 years ago so not sure how it is now pricewise but also got wedding bands through them as well. Stand up company too. I saw they donated an engagement ring to a returning veteran from Iraq recently on the news. My only regret is that I wish I had more money at the time, would have bought a larger stone. They do allow financing if you want to go that route. Best of luck.
