No--not me---was saying those are posts on LEO forum---and my point is they all pretty much say the opposite of you. They say they are taught NOT to fire warning shots, taught to fire at center mass, taught to fire until there is no longer a threat.
I thought you wanted to be serious. I was asking a legitimate question to you. According to these people, that are trained/trainers in this field, they are taught to shoot to stop the threat. Basically, if you pull gun you have to be willing to kill. So, my question to you is the same---isn't shoot to stop (center-mass) basically being trained to kill?
If you are just being sarcastic and dismissing these guys cool. But did you read what the guy said about the PC wording of the training instructions?
Again, and my last post on this, Bob.
If we are talking about imminent threat, yes, officers are taught that.
If we are talking about the 90% of situations where officers brandishing their weapons to prevent a suspect from fleeing or to subdue a non-life threatening suspect, then no, they are not taught to shoot to kill.
If you think an officer is taught to shoot to kill a fleeing thief, you are living in a fantasy world.
Your bravado about if one pulls a gun, be prepared to kill might apply to you, but not to law enforcement where a weapon is used more for a show of authority.

Agreed...
And...
Contrary to what cop haters want to publicize... The vast majority of the police force does not want to kill anyone. Taking a human life is not an easy task, and carries with it a huge burden for life. It is easy for anyone who has never purposely aimed a firearm at another human to think, "if it was me I would have blown them away", and it is not easy to live with after taking a life.

Again I am not Bob, George. I was simply saying the folks that know say if you pull it you are firing center-mass and that is bascially a kill shot. All the quotes I sent you the trained/trainers say that if they pull it they have to be prepared to kill. Not me; I don't have a gun. That is why I was asking. I guess you don't know either. Do not understand why everything has to be sarcasm with you. Again, they are not taught to try to wing a bad guy is all I am saying. Of course they are not wanting to kill them; but are trained to fire to stop them (center-mass).

Or better yet---provide quotes/links to back up your statement, that is all I ask. I provided some to question yours. I assumed you were stating a fact and not your opinion?

They all say not to fire at a fleeing person---no warning shot at all. We are talking about a guy that is bumrushing you. That is what I am asking you. Of course, you not gonna fire at someone running. I got that.

Raiders...
I think you two are actually in agreement but are misunderstanding each other. What you're saying is correct... Cops brandish their weapons all the time but do not fire at fleeing suspects, do not fire warning shots, do not shoot at the extremities to injure. If they do find themselves in a situation where they feel their life is in danger and have to discharge their weapon, then they shoot to kill.

You have to give these people credit for their dedication. " Protesting" in the middle of the night when they all have to get up early in the morning and go to work. There is going to be a tired workforce in the Ferguson area tomorrow.

Gotcha. Thanks. Makes sense then I guess.

Funny though her story was exactly what one man said to another man in the background audio of a video taken by a resident of that area.
They said on the news that as many as 14 witnesses have stories now that corroborate with this "Josie's" story as well.
the story was probably an accurate account , just saying it was sort of a TMZ feel to it when Fox News breathlessly reported as "breaking news" - ad a side note Megan Kelly is looking fantastic with her return to her previous hair style - now back to ferguson .......

No one really knows what happened, but its amazing to me how quickly people bunch into teams about events like this -- its tribalistic in origin.
Rather than wait for a detailed and lengthy investigation and results and/or potential trial, what do people do? Make up their minds based on which version of events fits their ideological world view. It's shameful in my mind albeit a great example of confirmation bias.

Right... Prayer is such a dirty disgusting thing to do...
It is a truly sad and pitiful world we live in where people cannot pray together without hateful and in some cases racist attacks on them...
PS... If YOU look really close at the picture YOU reference not everyone is a whitey... Or is that one of those FACTS we need to run from and pretend does not exist?

where did anyone reference they were all white? you don't think black police officers f*ck with black people?
anyway, given the way these cops are treating these protesters and media, the prayer picture looks like a bunch of hypocritical bullshit to pretend to justify their behavior.

And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love
to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets,
that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their
reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have
shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your
Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
i, for one, am offended by this public display and bastardization of prayer.

What a minute? Are you saying that because the officer had an injury, we can't conclude that this crazy black man went wild, beat him up, tried to take his gun, ran, turned around and charged him and kept charging until he was dead?
And conversely, because this young man was shot 6 times, we can't conclude that an angry white officer decided to use this black man for target practice?
Are you saying we should wait for things like ballistic testing, bullet wound analysis, etc before we call the officer a hero or murderer?
That would be very strange to do.

"So, Let me get this straight, the Press can report from Gaza, not be touched, report within ISIS, not be touched, report on the Ukrainian border, not be touched and on the other hand get arrested reporting in bumfu*k Missouri????? This country has gone to garbage"
When did you figure that out?

Especially here...
Even when the facts are assembled into a final determination of what happened it will make no difference to some. So many have already stated the cop IS a murderer and conversely many have shown they KNOW the cop was fighting to survive.
However it turns out you will have one or the other screaming, "Coverup and Conspiracy!!!!". And have YouTube videos to prove they are right...
So basically this "discussion" will never end... In a year we will still have threads, "Brown was murdered!!!", "No he wasn't!!!", "Brown was murdered!!!", "No he wasn't!!!", "Brown was murdered!!!", "No he wasn't!!!", "Brown was murdered!!!", "No he wasn't!!!"... And on and on...

it's going to take me a little more time to find jesus's quotes on shooting tear gas at children and arresting reporters. stand by.
Like everyone else reporters need to complying with police requests to move along when ordered by police to do so ...
Responsible parents should not allow their 8 year old children to be out a mid-night marching in a crowd of protester and where guns are being shot off and looting is taking place..

Why not change your avatar to a pic of him laying dead in the street since the video of the robbery is irrelevant to the situation? Or maybe a pic of the officer involved in the shooting?
