Why would you be offended by a show on MTV?? 

It's just entertainment.  You're just bitter that MTV pulled the plug on "The Hills".  I think we all know that this does not represent the average east coast socialite.  The producers know the general public is driven by sex and conflict.

All shows have high ratings for the fact americans watch dumb ass people. When is the reality shit gonna go away, its been going on for too long. These people make like 100 k a episode, kuods to them for playing a part. All shows are produced!! people act like they don't know that. So you get b actors at a low price, great bussiness plan.

Absolutely offended and embarrassed.  Even though majority of the cast isn't from the Garden State, there are some complete douchebags that go to Sleazeside Heights and Belmar.  Bunch of 21-35 year olds acting like they're still in high school.  Most of them still probably live with their parents.

Reminds me why I don't head down to South Jersey in the summertime.

No. They are not! Where do you get this information? The whole cast was born and raised right in New Jersey. MTV put together this cast specially to show a true New Jersey person in their typical native surroundings for people who have not been to New Jersey. I think they have really captured the state of New Jersey and the people there. Even in the show they are so happy to be back in New Jersey from Miami because the entire state is like them. They are back amongst their own people.

First of all asshole they don't represent any part of Jersey their the only ones that look and act that way . I lived in Jersey my whole life and lived down the shore and never seen anyone like them . And yes 90% of that cast is from Staten Island and none of them even live down the shore . So go learn some facts .

I think it is a fantastic documentary on the "guido" and their behavior in their natural surroundings of New Jersey. And the second season was interesting because they removed them from their natural surroundings and put them in a new location to study their behaviors. Its compelling.

  This thread is hilarious- thanks legwand.  Some people just really can't comprehend sarcasm huh?  I think we have a new potential cast member with the "kingpin" here.  He obviously has the intellect and the predisposition towards baffling, violent outbursts, and judging by his handle, has the ego as well.  Congratulations- you made the show we'll start you out as snookie's fluffer, but there is plenty of room for advancement!
