The glowing puck means nothing,  All these rule changes mean everything,  What's a slash?  There are little taps and then are there's a 2 hander.  Just more bullsh!t from gary. The cheetah is stronger than the lion in the new NHL.  To me, a 9-8 score will NEVER be as exciting as a bench clearing brawl, Yahooo!!!!!!

Please no.The slashing penalties are getting out of hand.It's up to the players now to adapt.I love watching a 2-1 1-0 game especially when I'm on the under.Gl to you.

They can make pucks glow on TV but Covers can't create a usable Search for me to find my threads with.

well I hate to tell you BUT that kind of "pitchers duel" hockey just does NOT SELL in the US of A especially when SHOTS and SCORING CHANCES are limited by "trap-crap", left wing "suck my" lock D tactics. then it becomes Soccer on Ice

Well I hate to tell you but that IS hockey. Us Canadians invented it and created it in 1875 and it was an amazing game until the league became set on making it a big mickey mouse entertainment entity aimed solely at Americans. That is when the league became a complete massive piece of crap product and has only ever existed in different forms of worse as they have fukked with the great Canadian game continuously and in many different ways over the years to appease Americans. The reason the trap and crap hockey in general ever existed is because the league became brutally watered down as they forced the league into ghetto cities with half empty arenas full of clueless, lazy American fans who demand entertainment, immediately and continuously in the easiest form possible all at the expense of the integrity of our once great game. Goals are exciting, but when they come at the expense of poorly played defensive hockey and bad team structure then the goals themselves are garbage and nothing but meaningless entertainment for the dimwitted folks of society. We don't want the puck glowing, we don't want morons calling the games and we don't want black hockey players raising their fists in the air as your societal cancerous attitudes seep into ours.

first off I love 2-1, 1-0 games. it is exciting the last ten minutes when every shot could be the game winner.secondly (do not know for sure but...)way back when, when the original six came about, I have a strong feeling that Canada had something to do with 4 teams from the u.s and 2 teams from canada  correct me if I am wrong. to blame just us, you have to be stupid. I mean no offence to you or Canada. calling u.s. fans dim witted, and attacking a whole country is effed up ,why don,t you disappear for good.you ignorant s.o.b.. maybe I do mean offence, but only to you NOT YOUR COUNTRY. dikk head!

Well said polar bear.If you need a glowing puck and 12-8 hockey games the sport wasn't for you anyway.Just because a game is low scoring doesn't mean it's not exciting, but you have to truly understand the game,the people who can't see that are the same ones who get their news from fox and tmz constantly need bright shiny objects to keep their attention. Soccer is also the most popular sport in the world btw.

The NHL is a business and like any business in order to be successful you need to continue to grow.  There was not a lot of growth potential in Canada after the 80s.  They put 1 team in Ottawa and that was it.  Growth opportunities were abundant in the U.S. especially piggy backing on Wayne in L.A. and the 96 USA world cup of hockey win.  I think the glow puck was a little hokey when first debuted but i think that this time around it might have appeal to the Millenial generation.  Personally Canadians are going to watch hockey and support hockey regardless but the business growth remains in the USA.
