The glowing puck means nothing, All these rule changes mean everything, What's a slash? There are little taps and then are there's a 2 hander. Just more bullsh!t from gary. The cheetah is stronger than the lion in the new NHL. To me, a 9-8 score will NEVER be as exciting as a bench clearing brawl, Yahooo!!!!!!

first off I love 2-1, 1-0 games. it is exciting the last ten minutes when every shot could be the game winner.secondly (do not know for sure but...)way back when, when the original six came about, I have a strong feeling that Canada had something to do with 4 teams from the u.s and 2 teams from canada correct me if I am wrong. to blame just us, you have to be stupid. I mean no offence to you or Canada. calling u.s. fans dim witted, and attacking a whole country is effed up ,why don,t you disappear for good.you ignorant s.o.b.. maybe I do mean offence, but only to you NOT YOUR COUNTRY. dikk head!0

Well said polar bear.If you need a glowing puck and 12-8 hockey games the sport wasn't for you anyway.Just because a game is low scoring doesn't mean it's not exciting, but you have to truly understand the game,the people who can't see that are the same ones who get their news from fox and tmz constantly need bright shiny objects to keep their attention. Soccer is also the most popular sport in the world btw.

The NHL is a business and like any business in order to be successful you need to continue to grow. There was not a lot of growth potential in Canada after the 80s. They put 1 team in Ottawa and that was it. Growth opportunities were abundant in the U.S. especially piggy backing on Wayne in L.A. and the 96 USA world cup of hockey win. I think the glow puck was a little hokey when first debuted but i think that this time around it might have appeal to the Millenial generation. Personally Canadians are going to watch hockey and support hockey regardless but the business growth remains in the USA.
