I've had dogs my whole life and the best training tip is PATIENCE. All you need to do is spend as much time as you can with them. That way the dog will have no trouble "training" you. The key is PATIENCE, and that doesn't cost anything.

Lucking out and getting a "Smart" dog helps. For every litter, there are at least 4 corkys.

Greyhounds are fantastic. . .lazy as hell, great around everyone. Probably won't own another breed. They also had a lot of recent closings of dog tracks in Wisconsin and a couple other areas, so the rescues are overloaded
Regardless, glad to see you looking at a shelter to get your pet, always like to see a dog get another chance to be a good pet
