What do any of your semantic contortions have to do with my statement?  Who cares who I would or would not show a post to?  Is what I said the truth?  By your logic people aren't ugly if you wouldn't tell them to their face, and I guess a raging wild feral dog should be allowed to feast on your cat if you don't have the courage to walk up and take it out of it's mouth.

I have never witnessed in my lifetime the racism towards blacks we are constantly and relentlessly reminded about.  I'm no young kid either.  I'll tell you what I have witnessed though.  In ur face unaccountable unchecked racism from blacks, towards me and towards others I've known.  

That isn't even the issue in this case though.  We are constantly beaten over the head with the narrative of equality, but they are obscenely over represented and favored, such as in this case with the $20 bill.  Should she be remembered or commemorated?  Sure, why not.  Put on the face of I would think the 2nd most used bill in our currency?  It's ridiculous.  To compare her life and influence on this country to Andrew Jackson's is nothing short of ridiculous.  

Then when someone says it's ridiculous, a pc lemming special operative asks if you would dare show that post to someone.  Not "that isn't correct," or "your facts are wrong and here's why" but just the old "ur a racist!  OMG OMG!"

You see scal, someone once said (probably Orwell) "In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act."  It sure seems like one of those times.  I don't want to go around insulting and putting down people, but when the lies and propaganda have created such an imbalance, the truth needs to be delivered with a few extra pounds.

I have seen plenty of racism towards African Americans and other minorities, as well as discrimination and bigotted behavior toward sexual orientations, women, immigrants, non English speakers, elderly, disabled etc

The problem is that racism is not a back and forth thing because of power dynamics of the majority culture. This could be on numbers, this could be in power differential, but to say a minority is racist in a true sense just doesn't work. 

I know majority culture would like it to be tit for tat, but it's more complicated than that. Try being a white person in a country and culture where you are out numbered, treated differently, don't have access to food, language, basics because you are the minority culture.  That is where I found true racism by travelling, experiencing that for myself and having a better exposure of the world. So to cry about it in America in terms of reverse-racism silly.

And just for the record i honestly could care less if Tubman is on $20 and could care less that she is not.  I think changing it is stupid and I also think having a hissy fit over it being changed is stupid. 

I think this will show us that we need better policies and procedures on how decisions on how our currency is visually designed and change it to something that perhaps a majority of the country would want and not just a few with an agenda. 

Maybe I'm wrong here but based on this thread I would think majority culture America hates this change

And who in their right mind would look at a historical figure and their contributions to society/the country and immediately gauge their....attractiveness?

When you were introduced to the picture of George Washington in grammar school, did you come away from the lesson saying, "Boy, that guy sure was ugly!"

This piece of garbage was not only a slave owner , he also committed Native Indian genocide (Indian Removal Act) to get more lands for cultivation by slave plantations. Make it two crimes against humanity.

During the war of 1812, General Jackson suspended habea corpus and executed prisoners for minor infractions.

why was Andrew Jackson commemorated by the U.S government ?

Andrew Jackson could not even hold a candle to his predecessor John Quincy Adams (US president with the highest IQ)

Are you really going to write paragraphs of biased revisionism and pass it off as damning evidence?

To compare Jackson's social views with today and then say, "Look he was a bad guy" is the height of intellectual dishonesty.  Don't come at me with that filth.

Then after you pine over the poor native American Indians, who killed and took land from each other long before whites ever got here, you say nothing about Jackson's crucial roles in the military and politics. 

Instead you decide to concentrate on the most controversial part of his presidency, the Indian Removal Act, which was a result of escalating tensions between Indians and whites in the south mostly because of those Indians refusing to abide by terms of treaties.  He could have just killed them which is how Indian tribes usually dealt with other enemy Indian tribes. 

Oh oh but he was slave owner in the south what a bad guy!  It was legal and common at the time, and by many accounts he was quite benevolent keeping families together, supplying them with guns and supplies for hunting and fishing, and actually paying them for their work.

Obviously he was not perfect, no one is.  Yet you want to criticize errors in how he handles those who want to kill his people.  Let me guess, you think blacks are at the mercy of a corrupt police force and Islamic terrorists should be handled humanely, am I right?  

I have already spent too much time responding to your idiocy.  Tubman was an illiterate law breaker who although she freed several of her family and friends, was relatively insignificant in not just the the nation's history but even in the history of slavery.  It's only through revisionism and an awful POTUS that she is to be put on a $20 bill instead of a stamp.

Harriet Tubman was an American abolitionist, humanitarian, and an armed scout and spy for the United States Army during the American Civil War.

An escaped slave spying for  the Union . Do you have any idea how brave that woman was and how dangerous her job was ?

If the US Mint uses the picture of Tubman that was flashed on the network news people will be kind if they only call a 20 a 'Tubman'.
