I went to grad school in Malibu, so we saw celebrities all the time (even played a pickup basketball game with Adam Sandler one time.) But my favorite/best celebrity interaction story I have is with Pamela Anderson (full disclosure, this story is way funnier over drinks and when told in person...)
In Malibu there is a stoplight right in front of a grocery store/outdoor shopping area that takes forever to change. one day just after first moving to Malibu I am in my car and a white SUV (range rover I think) pulls up next to me at the light. I glance over and do the classic double take when I realize it's Pam Anderson driving. I try not to stare too long and eventually she glances over my way so I turn my head away. light turns green and we drive off.
A few days later, I am pulling up to the same stoplight and see a white SUV already sitting there. I kinda laugh thinking wouldn't it be funny if it were Pam Anderson again... sure enough, it was. This time I kinda look longer to see if she remembers and this time I can tell she kinda does a double take too. again, light turns green and we drive off.
It couldn't have been 2 full weeks later that I am sitting, yet again, at the same stop light and yet again a white SUV pulls up next to me. Sure enough, Pam Anderson is driving. This time I just embrace the moment and start laughing and gesturing towards her to express my surprise and she looks at me and start laughing and gesturing to acknowledge she recognized too how weird this was. She clearly remembered the previous few times we were caught at the same light next to each other and so we are just sitting there laughing and gesturing. eventually car behind us honks as the light has turned green and she gives a little wave and away we go. there never was a fourth time but man did I live that up for a long time. just a weird little moment.

I recently met Keanu Reeves. But I did not approach him and disturb him. He also wants to rest. But I am delighted. I have never met celebrities before.
