There is no point in having HBO unless you really enjoy boxing or some of their original programming, such as the comedy specials and Boardwalk Empire. Other than that? No reason.

In all honesty, if I didn't want to support boxing I wouldn't pay for Showtime or HBO. The shitty thing is that with FIOS both are packaged with other channels and they call them "premium tiers." Fucking Fios jacks me for $280 a month now that I'm outside of the initial two year period. Won't go back to Comcast just for another "deal" because their product is inferior.

.I'm sharing my Comcast info with a couple friends at work who don't have it and can watch on HBOGO from a tablet or laptop,plug in the HDMI and they have free HBO now..Fuck Comcast.

After The Wire , Entourage and The Sopranos ended, there&#x27;s no reason to have it.&#xD;&#xA;I heard Game of Thrones is good, but I&#x27;m not into that fantasy crap.

Believe it or not there are actually very little fantasy elements in it (especially the 1st season).&#xD;&#xA;You owe it to yourself to at least watch the first episode and see if it interests you.  I&#x2019;ve recommended the show to at least a dozen &#x201C;fantasy-haters&#x201D; and every single one of them enjoyed it.

have to agree somewhat with StraightShooter. about the only interesting character remaining is the "Psyco Sicilian" "Gyp" Rosetti. been some interesting "plot twists" lately BUT overall NOT as good is the first season

It&#x27;s more like Rome (another great HBO offering) than like a Lord of the Rings movie.  It&#x27;s very, very quality.
