which shows you the poor quality of chain restaraunts. I'm from Buffalo and you couldn't pay me to eat at Wild Wings.
when I was still flying the line, I was based in Pittsburgh and used to have regular layovers in Buffalo, Rochester and other upstate New York cities. I was going to mention that there are OODLES of local bar & restaurant operations around the country that are WAY better than ANY chain B & R operation. both Rootie's and Elmo's in Buffalo out by the University are REALLY outstanding. people talk about the Anchor Bar in Buf BUT I think the two named are better as the Anchor which is kind of a tourist trap. also, Wings Suds and Spuds out by Greater Pitt Airport in Pittsburgh is excellent also.
BUT for people that DON'T KNOW about the local joints, I found BW3 to be consistantly good. in fact, our union's hotel committee used to use having a BW3 within walking distance of layover hotels as a big plus for recommending selection by the company.

I have only been to Hooters once and it was the casino in Vegas... I was in Vegas for work and we had time before flying out and were hungry and wanted to have a few beers and play some poker... The food was not good and the casino was worse.... it was almost brand new when we were there and yet it felt like a trashy run-down dive...

Chicken wings in general are a waste of time.... unless they are boneless! I've been in Hooter's one time and don't care if I step foot in another one .... the food way overrated.
