It's ironic that you have a tar of the movie 300 when that is about how many aliases you have

Hostess or Entenmann's?
Geography is a factor.
If you grew up on the west coast (like California, where I'm stuck right now) you may say Entenmann's sucks, and you'd be correct because the choice is very limited - chocolate donuts, pound cake, and maybe 3-4 others.
BUT . . . if you grew up in Jersey (like I did) you'd say Entenmann's is great because you have 20-30 different items to choose from, not to mention their seasonal cakes that come out on holidays such as Christmas. Every day you can get coffee cakes, Apple Puffs, eclairs, muffins, pies, cookies, etc. I'm still a little pissed at them because they discontinued Lemon Fluff cake, but Tastykake discontinued hermit bars and Archway discontinued Iced Spice cookies, so what are ya gonna do, that's life.
I'm a Devil Dogs guy myself (and the Hostess orange cupcakes that are really yellow though) but you can't get Drakes in a store out here either (thank God for Amazon.)

Growing up a buddy of mine dad worked for the Entenmann's in the Chicago suburb of Northlake,he'd come home with all kinds of fresh cakes and coffee cakes that he'd give to everybody that hung out together,to give to their moms.I'm not even a big bakery guy,but those were unbelievably good. There also used to be a small cookie bakery place called Maurice Lenell on Harlem Ave on the NW side of Chicago. You couldn't get within 5 blocks of this place and then you'd start to smell the cookies,oh they smelled good. They used to make 1 of those x-mas tins filled with cookies, and as a teenager driving by I'd have to get 2 tins. One for my mom to put out on x-mas day,and 1 for me to eat until she put out the 1 for x-mas day.
