I shiitt you not... Im glad that alot of the football team was not good a math... plus this was before the web so no one had any idea of what the actual odds should look like...

so of course everyone swung for the fences with the 10 teamer...  I paid out a few 3 teamers and even  a five teamer once, but with those odds and so many failed 10 teamers, it was easy money...

so I also wonder if the true degenerate beginning was there...
that really changed me... never been the same since...

Bragging about screwing people over on a parlay...you must be a dishonest person at heart.

so horrible odds, but most people chalk it up to making poor choices when we are young and dumb...  speaking of which people often played blackjack at school with a huge house advantage of a push going to the dealer...  I cringe thinking that I actually started on the wrong side of that also...

the point being, it is the "easy money", or the "big win" that gets the process going...

    how is that dishonest?

    read the thread....

I simply did what I learned from upperclassmen giving the same odds and sheets that were taught to them by upperclassmen in their position group....

It was a tradition on the football team that I later pass down to underclassmen after me...

Perhaps a tradition on a highschool football team is something that is hard for you to grasp...  but I talk about it honestly...

So how am I dishonest?  at the time I simply did as I was taught....  I was 16-17 and had no idea of what the actual parlay odds were in vegas and there was no internet or offshore...

Its weird how you are so obsessed with me after you got completely owned and played yourself for a fool in the politics forum...

you have been in this meltdown tail spin ever since...

    u mad bro?

Actually, when I accused you of being generally dishonest person you called me a liar and told me to prove it.

I proved it and now you are just deflecting again to try and make me out to be the degenerate.

You have way too many catfights on this site for it to be me.

Your tactics are old and boring. Change them up a bit.

    No I'm not mad.

No I'm not having a meltdown.

I'm laughing at how dumb you are.

    Laughing at you deflecting AGAIN.

FYI: Just because people are dishonest before you doesn't mean you have to lick your chops and salivate over the same kind of dishonesty that makes you money.

Honest people would never do that in the first place and they surely wouldn't bring the story up again and brag about it.

March Madness pools have probably started more people in sportsbetting than anything, except for maybe the Superbowl.

Somewhere around 7-10 years old.  I used to cut out the NCAA bracket from the sports section of the newspaper.  My old man would front me the entry into an office pool every year at his work.  Actually placed a couple times, but never won any serious money.

Junior high and high school spent summers on the golf course.  Golf is a great game to learn how to hustle.  Golf during the day, and played cards at night.  Always pitch and acey decucey.  Good times.

Second grade with my father on NFL games

He wasn't a gambler in the least and is still not.

However, every Sunday Sports section of the St. Pete Times would have the "Helmets" of the day's match-ups on the last page w/ a quick write-up and the writer's prediction of the outcome.

We'd wager a total of $5 on the games we disagreed on.  Some weeks it was 1 game and other weeks it was several.  Whoever had the winning record would collect the loot.

In these younger days of mine, I had a knack for picking winners and would win the majority of the time.  He would have never done this if he knew I would have become a habitual loser in my early twenties.

I'm happy to say that I've stopped and haven't placed a wager on an individual game/match since the World Cup Final, which I won.  $460 in monthly student loans will do that to you.

Suicide pools, SB Box pools and NCAA March Madness is still fair game just for sh!ts and giggles.

    1991 or 1992 NBA season, I can't remember

Took the Minnesota Timberwolves +17.5 or something crazy like that for 50 bucks and when they lost by 18 points I was hooked.

Took $50 of my birthday money and put it on the MNF Broncos vs Giants with my father and brother also betting Denver...Denver crushed! It was a bonding experience only fellow gamblers know about.

Since the very next day was the worst day in American history it was a sign from above to stop, but unfortunately I inherited being a degenerate

Saw an ad for the game with odds, saw an easy win with good return. Thought this is the way to avoid working for the man. Haven't stopped since!

Used it as a way to invest money and stay liquid.  Don't regret it, learned proper bank roll management starting with $300 seven years later I am at $8000!
