Damn, APK&#xD;&#xA;I agree with Messier.  I&#x27;ve kept prety good records of all of my deposits/payments and withdrawals/envelope pick-ups, and I have been extremely successful in sports betting at times and win at a good rate.  That said since I started I&#x27;m down about $50, and that&#x27;s actually good.  The worst part is the time lost - stop now and actually use your money.

It has been up and down for me. There are times that I am happy I started and am thankful when my hard work and time spent capping games pays off, and then I realize that I could have spent that time doing something else.

I believe I may possibly have the worse gambling luck in the world. For what's usually a 50-50 proposition, if I'm a 20% winner I'd be shocked. Without a doubt the world record holder for never being behind in a NFL Football game and lose in the last minute. I don't want to go into all of them right now, it hurts too much.

I picked my Avatar accordingly. He's from the Lil' Abner comic, his name is Joe Btfsplk. He has horrible luck and you can't say his name. My last name is 11 letters long and also unpronounceable. He's fitting.

I pitched pennies/nickels in grade school, then flipped coins (odd or even, usually quarters) in middle school. After graduating high school I bet all 3 major sports year round.

Had bad luck then and it got worse from there.

Honest answer: FUCK NO

I pretty much gave it up after 2 superbowl beatings in a row. First a guy catches a ball on top of his head, then last year Holmes catches that lucky pass from that stiff Rothlessburger. Didn't bet anything in between those two events or since.

Look at it this way. When your on your death bed will you look back and wish you had spent more time with your family/kids or gambled more.

if you gamble on sports because you are a gambling addict, then your ass is out and only bad things will happen

if you are able to approach it as 'investing', which for the majority, it isn't, but if you take that approach, and do it reasonably and within your means then you can enjoy gambling.

I am 28 and have been betting sports for about 12 years,,,,,lost more then i care to account for by the age of 22, however, i listened and learned and didn't try and chase those losses, and have very much enjoyed the last couple of years of gambling on sports. Helps when you are winning more then losing too

If you are an addict, you should get help and get away from it. One thing that i found that relieved the stress of it all, is realize that you don't have to bet on every game every day, do it in moderation, don't watch the games you bet live, and get yourself educated. As a young gambler, i thought it was all about picking winners. Then i paid attention to the math, and got some awesome pointers on how to make it more profitable, most importantly BE CHEAP, shop for the best price. second is money management

If you can learn to gain an advantage on the prices you pay on your wagers, by even .05 it will do wonders to your bankroll

kinda agree with what be easy said, except that i won at first, then took a beating, however i feel like i learned from those losses.  i played poker a great deal back in the day, and trust me, that eats your time way more then sports betting does.  now id say about 3/4ths of my gambling time is used on sports as opposed to 1/4th on poker.  occassionally i will play a little blackjack when i go to the casino or bet a horse race, but i keep that to a minimum.

If you asked me this 5 years ago, id say yes, because I definitely had a problem...

last 4+ years...I am controlled, havent chase, never do. Bet within my limits, what I can afford to lose and still find time to live my life. I still go out, do regular things and dont have to sit infront of the computer/tv like I used to 5 years ago in college.

So now, no.

I have been gambling since I was about 17. I have really enjoyed it although I was a really degenerate gambler when in my early twenties. I had to just quit altogether for about seven years. Since then I have played about even and really enjoy gambling. I taught my wife to play horses and we have had much fun at the tracks. I cannot watch a game without thinking which team I would have bet. My play now is limited to four or five games a week. If you are "stuck" like you mentioned in another thread my advice is to just quit for a few years until you learn some control. Without control, no matter how many wins you get, you will always have problems. Get well, play with control and caution. Good luck.
