Move? That idea is beyond stupid. I've owed money to books before I didn't have, given I knew the guy, but he let me ay him over time, anytime I had a few extra hundred bucks I gave it to him. 4 k sounds like a lot of money. Really? Call the man pay him 250 a week for 26 weeks should work with the juice covered. Tough lesson but probably the only way to learn PLAY with what you can afford to PAY.

I'm not an internet anything, bro, and yes I would. If you tried to pay me 4k to kill someone, i'd turn it down. I'm no hitman but if you stiffed me, I wouldn't hesitate. I was born in Oakland, in the 80's, and frankly I just view this shyt differently. If you're taking bets, just like if you're selling drugs or stripping cars, you're a criminal. You're a gangster. And sometimes gangsters have to shoot people. Just comes with the territory. If you're not willing to put in work, people will walk all over you. I've sold drugs, and i've booked bets. And thankfully, by the grace of god, I was able to come out of that live unscathed. But never for a minute did I lie to myself about what I was and what I was doing. Now these new booty kids have the game all twisted. "Sure, stiff a guy on some loot. Snitch on dudes even." These kids, and this goes way beyond shady business into all of life, these kids think there isn't consequences for anything. Well, I ain't that old but i'm old enough to not be like that. And if a guy stiffed me on 4k I promise you i'd be gunning for him. I'm not proud of it, I feel horrible saying it, but i'm being 100% real.

So if you took a bet from somebody today for 4 grand and he stiffed you, you'd pursue and kill him?

Simple solution. Tell your bookie you have the money and that you’ll meet him at the usual spot, hometown buffet parking lot or whatever. Grab 2 or 3 of your boys and run up on him. Hopefully he wil have just picked up from a couple other lowlife degenerates and you’ll make a nice score. Let him know there’s a new sheriff in town. Hell with any luck you’ll take over his book and finally be on the right side of the phone for once

GO to rehab. Tell the guy the truth he has heard it a 1000 times. If he has a decent size book 4gs is not shite to him. Tell him you will pay him back even if it is just $20 a week, just pay every week. Only assholes and movies add interest. He just wants his money and he would rather you come back and bet after you pay off $2000. Did you ever get up like $5000? This means more than anything. It is not as if you have anything material that he has given you unless you won money and now that you lost you are not paying. If you are honest and humble about it pay each week. He can't be viewed as a box that can be ripped off. Hopefully you didn't tell anyone but it seems if you are posting here you most likely did so show the  game respect. Get off the drugs first pay your debt. If you have bad credit you most likely ran up credit cards and are in default. Don't be a piece of shite. Be a man, pay at least $20 a week then more when you can. A colleague of mine years ago was shot and killed by a little druggie punk that lost $10,000 over a weekend he was on a payment plan then decided he would make his payment and then rob my colleague. It went bad and he killed a bookie that was in the biz for 40 years. Stop living a fantasy life. You need to pay for yourself and for his reputation. You are a drug addict and most likely cant handle alcohol. Having $1000000 on the street for a midsize book is not uncommon. Most bettors are losers living a fantasy. I have lived in Asia for over a decade. Gambling there is part  of life but no one is going to kill you for a lousy $4000 that is a typical Saturday for a small bartender book. Get straight, be honest , start paying dont start gambling because as soon as you get down to half of what you owe you will get a $500 a week limit to bet so he can keep collecting on your ass. Don't run, don't be ashamed. If your credit is in collections your screwed for 7 years but  get off the booze an drugs. Good Luck. 

All circumstances are different but in most cases, yes. I feel bad for saying it but that's the game. I would never extend that kind of line to a chump like this so this is all hypothetical but what else is there to do?

I always here guys saying cliche things like, "...break his knee caps..." and i'm always puzzled, asking myself, "Is there anyone out there actually doing this?" Seems like something from a TV show. Real life is you have to do something or everyone will walk all over you. You can beat him up, right? Either of two things can happen, if not both. 1.He can come back and shoot you. 2. He goes to the police. It's a loose end and I don't believe in loose ends. Better to eat the loss and just take care of him. That's the business. I don't subscribe to this new school "hooker with a heart of gold" sh*t. There's no such thing as part-time crooks and if you're doing shit like booking bets, just like if you're selling drugs, you're a gangster. And if you're a gangster, one day you might have to kill somebody.
