seriously, I won't tell you why so dont ask and I intend to buy property in maybe a year but in the meantime and I know I'm probably wasting my time on here but apart from putting it all on the over in game 5 of the NBA finals, what's a good place to earn interest/short term investment in the meantime?
Not enough information. As far as buying real estate, more my area, depends on where you live. Paying cash, financing, rates are good now but property values/sales prices continue to rise and for investment purpose, gonna live there for a few years then sell? Fixer upper? You need someone local and a professional for investment advice. No 2 financial situations are the same nor are their goals. Do your due diligence and most importantly, "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is." Good luck!
The stock market all around the world tanked today due to the delta covid-19 variant fears. Do some research and buy up some under valued stocks. Had an individual invested blindly into any stock during the month of March 2020, their investement would have risen by 50% or more by now. Covid-19 truly was a "black swan" event that NOBODY saw coming and reset wallstreet back 10+ years of gains..

100k won't get you much real estate in California but could be a down payment on an investment property elsewhere
