To own a restaurant you have to be ready to be in there 18 hours a day, meeting and greeting, making sure everything is 100%... and then 10-15 years down the road you can sit back and relax...

it seems like restaurants are always going out of business. i would think that's one of the worst things you can do with your money. plus, you have to be there until all hours every night and deal with annoying people, hire fuckin kids who don't give a shit. that's not the way to go.

the whorehouse idea is solid. low supply, high demand, a great and necessary contribution to society. or at least a strip club.

otherwise, why not just research the stock market and spread the money around in some relatively safe stocks?

[/Quote]thanks for the comment club dirt, i may sound dumb by asking this but my father always told me the stock market is a gamble and considering how i gamble on sports already how does the Stock market differ? i obviously know you have to buy a stock that will rise but how can you spot a stock that will from the one that wont? sorry if i sound dumb by asking that but i dont follow shares/stocks that much.

raven, stocks certainly are a gamble, just like any investment.  i believe that certain types of stock investments are relatively safe, although the certainly won&#x27;t get you rich quickly. but i&#x27;m not the one to be giving stock advice.  there are some good books out there that can explain the stock market and other similar and dissimilar investments.  you might want to get on amazon one day and look around for decent books covering various investments.  one pretty good author is william bernstein.
